"I Got U" is a song by English record producer Duke Dumont, featuring fellow record producer Jax Jones. It was released as the second single from his forthcoming debut studio album on 16 March 2014. The song reached number-one in Ireland, the UK and on the US Dance Club Songs chart. It features on his EP ''EP1'', which was released in North America. It also appears on the compilation album '' Now 87'' and in the video game ''Forza Horizon 2''. Background and release The song interpolates vocals from session singer Kelli-Leigh's performance of "My Love Is Your Love". Dumont was inspired by the original recording of that song by Whitney Houston, saying: "It's one of my favourite Whitney songs, especially the latter Whitney period." Duke Dumont
Adam George Dyment (born August 1981), better known by his stage name Duke Dumont, is an English DJ and record producer. He is best known for his hit singles "Need U (100%)" "I Got U", " Ocean Drive" and " Won't Look Back" which both reached number one and number two on the UK Singles Chart respectively. He founded the record label called Blasé Boys Club and has also used it as an alias for production. He has remixed a number of songs, including several which have charted in the United Kingdom. In 2014, "Need U (100%)", was nominated for "Best Dance Recording" for the 56th Annual Grammy Awards. Next year, "I Got U" was nominated in the same category. Marc Kinchen (born August 3, 1972), known by his initials MK, is an American DJ, record producer and remixer. He hit number-one on the US ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1993 and 1994 with the songs "Always" and "Love Changes". Lead vocals on both of those tracks were performed by Alana Simon (songs were credited to MK featuring Alana). The combo also recorded the underground house music classic anthem "Burning". Jonas Rathsman is a Swedish producer of electronic music and graphic designer. He was born in a small village in Western Sweden. At the age of 18, he started organizing parties at local nightclubs in Gothenburg. Using this platform Jonas Rathsman began producing music under his own name and quickly caught the attention of the French Express label. It was with French Express that he began to release his music, starting in 2011 with the bass heavy 'Love Is My Middle Name' which was featured on the second instalment of the French Express compilation. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. Ultratop is an organization which generates and publishes the official record charts in Belgium. Ultratop is a non-profit organization, created on the initiative of the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA), the Belgian member organization of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. Annie Mac (born 18 July 1978), is an Irish DJ, broadcaster and writer. She hosted a variety of shows on BBC Radio 1, including BBC Switch and ''Future Sounds''.
