IWA World Cruiserweight Championship
The IWA Television Championship, previously known as the IWA Extreme Cruiserweight Championship, was a title defended in the International Wrestling Association (Puerto Rico), International Wrestling Association (IWA) in Puerto Rico. History The championship was created as the IWA Extreme Cruiserweight Championship in 2006 and was intended to be a replacement for the IWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship; it was introduced on November 25, 2006 by IWA General Manager Orlando Toledo. The title was later renamed to the IWA Extreme Combat Division Championship in 2009, the IWA Cruiserweight Championship in April 2011, the IWA Television Championship on June 4, 2011, and lastly to the IWA Yoú Tu Championship in January 2012. The championship was retired in June 2012 when IWA closed. In 2017, the physical belt was used by the La Liga Wrestling, World Wrestling League (WWL) as the WWL Yoú Tu Championship; though the belt appeared on WWL events, it was never defended. International Wrestling Association (Puerto Rico)
The International Wrestling Association is a conglomerate of professional wrestling promotions that originated in Puerto Rico and currently operates there and in the state of Florida. Founded in 1999 by promoter Víctor Quiñones (who had also created the unrelated IWA-Japan in 1994) as a novel promotion, it quickly entered an agreement to serve as a development territory for the World Wrestling Federation (now known as WWE) that lasted until 2001. During its first decade, IWA grew to rival the long-standing World Wrestling Council (WWC). Hiram Mulero (September 16, 1983) is a semi-retired Puerto Rican professional wrestler. He is best known under his ring name, Hiram Tua, which he has used in several of Puerto Rico's promotions, including the International Wrestling Association, the World Wrestling Council and the World Wrestling League. Career Early career Mulero began his career in the independent promotion, Caribbean Wrestling Association. His first gimmick being that of a Samoan wrestler named Airan Anoy Tua.
