The ISU Junior Grand Prix in France is an international figure skating competition. Sanctioned by the International Skating Union, it is held in the autumn in some years as part of the JGP series. ISU Junior Grand Prix
The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating (titled the ISU Junior Series in the 1997–98 season) is a series of international junior-level competitions organized by the International Skating Union. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The series was inaugurated in 1997 to complement the senior-level ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Skaters earn qualifying points at each Junior Grand Prix event and the six highest-ranking qualifiers meet at the ISU Junior Grand Prix Final, which is held concurrently with the Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final. Curran Oi
Curran Oi (born October 19, 1990) is an American figure skater. He won two ISU Junior Grand Prix silver medals and placed fifth at the 2009 World Junior Championships. He is the founder of ''Stats on Ice'', an online statistics database on figure skaters. Personal life Curran Oi was born on October 19, 1990 in Boston, Massachusetts. He is the brother of Bryna Oi, the 2011 Japanese national ice dancing champion with Taiyo Mizutani. His brother, Aidan Oi, competed in swimming and attended Boston University Academy. Curran Oi began attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2009, graduating in 2013 with a degree in nuclear engineering and physics. Austin Kanallakan
Austin Kanallakan (born May 23, 1991) is an American former competitive figure skater. He won three gold medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series and silver at the 2006 JGP Final. In his first year on the JGP circuit, Kanallakan qualified for the Junior Grand Prix Final, where he placed second. He qualified twice more for the event but did not make the podium again. At the 2007 U.S. Championships, he overcame a poor result in the short program to win the free skate and claim the bronze medal on the junior level. The 2006–07 ISU Junior Grand Prix was the tenth season of the ISU Junior Grand Prix, a series of international junior level competitions organized by the International Skating Union. It was the Junior-level complement to the 2006–07 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, which was for Senior-level skaters. Skaters compete in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The top skaters from the series met at the Junior Grand Prix Final. Skaters who reached the age of 13 by July 1, 2006 but had not turned 19 (singles and females of the other two disciplines) or 21 (male pair skaters and ice dancers) were eligible to compete on the junior circuit. Jérémie Colot (born 24 January 1986) is a French former competitive figure skater. He won one ISU Junior Grand Prix medal and competed at the 2005 World Junior Championships, placing 11th. After moving up to the senior level, he won three international medals — silver at the 2005 Merano Cup and 2006 Triglav Trophy and bronze at the 2007 International Cup of Nice. Andrei Lutai
Andrei Vladimirovich Lutai (russian: Андрей Владимирович Лутай; born 24 July 1986) is a Russian former competitive figure skater. He is the 2006 Karl Schäfer Memorial champion, 2006 International Cup of Nice champion, and a three-time Russian national medalist (2007 & 2008 silver; 2009 bronze). He placed as high as 5th at the European Championships (2007) and 10th at the World Championships (2009). Career Lutai began skating in 1992 and was coached by his sister in his early years. After the rink in Belgorod closed, he moved to Samara for one year, and then to Saint Petersburg in 2001 after his sister asked Alexei Mishin to take him in his group. Yannick Ponsero
Yannick Ponsero (born 17 October 1986) is a French former competitive figure skater. He won two medals at the World Junior Championships (silver in 2005, bronze in 2006) and two medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series, including gold in France. On the senior level, he is the 2008 NHK Trophy bronze medalist, a two-time International Cup of Nice champion, and the 2009 French national champion. Jordan Brauninger
Jordan Brauninger (born January 19, 1987) is an American former competitive figure skater. He is the 2004 World Junior bronze medalist. Career Brauninger began skating at age five. He played ice hockey for three years and switched to figure skating after meeting Sergei Grinkov. He competed first as a pair skater with Samantha Skavdahl. He landed his first triple toe loop at the age of eleven and his first triple Axel when he was 16. He trained in Crescent Springs, Kentucky, coached by Stephanie Miller and Ted Masdea. Evan Frank Lysacek (; born June 4, 1985) is an American retired figure skater. He is the 2010 Olympic champion, the 2009 World champion, a two-time (2005, 2007) Four Continents champion, the 2009 Grand Prix Final champion, and a two-time (2007, 2008) U.S. national champion.
