Jame Jam TV is one of three television channels airing programs for Iranians living outside Iran. The channel broadcasts TV series which are shown domestically in Iran. The channel was originally consisting of three channels under the Jame Jam branding, each broadcasting to a different part of the world; Jame Jam 1 broadcasting to Europe, Jame Jam 2 broadcasting to North America, and Jame Jam 3 broadcasting to Asia and Oceania. From 17 January 2015, the three channels merged as a single channel. Satellite Television
Satellite television is a service that delivers television programming to viewers by relaying it from a communications satellite orbiting the Earth directly to the viewer's location. SDTV
Standard-definition television (SDTV, SD, often shortened to standard definition) is a television system which uses a resolution that is not considered to be either high or enhanced definition. 1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video. Galaxy 19
Galaxy 19 is a communications satellite owned by Intelsat located at 97° West longitude, serving the North American market. Galaxy 19 replaced Galaxy 25 which is nearing the end of its design life and has been moved to 93.1°W longitude. It was built by Space Systems/Loral, as part of its FS-1300 line. Galaxy 19 was formerly known as Intelsat Americas 9 and was successfully launched September 24, 2008. It provides services in the C band and Ku band. Hot Bird
Hot Bird (also styled HOTBIRD) is a group of satellites operated by Eutelsat, located at 13 °E over the equator ( orbital position) and with a transmitting footprint over Asia, Europe, North Africa, Americas and the Middle East. Only digital radio and television channels are transmitted by the Hot Bird constellation, both free-to-air and encrypted. In addition there are a few interactive and IP services.
