IPL Trailblazers
IPL Trailblazers were an Indian cricket team. They were founded in 2018 to compete in the Women's T20 Challenge, which they competed in until the tournament ended in 2022. They won the tournament once, beating Supernovas in the final of the 2020 Women's T20 Challenge by 16 runs. History 2018 Trailblazers were formed in 2018 to take part in the inaugural Women's T20 Challenge competition, in which they played a one-off match against Supernovas. The game was viewed as a response to the men's Indian Premier League, and hopes were that the one-off game would lead towards a fully-fledged tournament in the future. 2019 Women's T20 Challenge
The 2019 Women's T20 Challenge was the second season of the Women's T20 Challenge, a Twenty20 cricket tournament established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2018. Unlike previous year, this year it was a three team tournament instead of a one-off match, featuring a new team called IPL Velocity. Women's Premier League (cricket)
The Women's Premier League (WPL) also known as TATA WPL due to sponsorship reasons, is an upcoming women's Twenty20 cricket franchise league in India. It is owned and operated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The first season will be played in March 2023 in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai with five franchises taking part. Net run rate (NRR) is a statistical method used in analysing teamwork and/or performance in cricket. It is the most commonly used method of ranking teams with equal points in limited overs league competitions, similar to goal difference in football. The NRR in a single game is the average runs per over that team scores, minus the average runs per over that is scored against them. The NRR in a tournament is the average runs per over that a team scores across the whole tournament, minus the average runs per over that is scored against them across the whole tournament. The 2022 Women's T20 Challenge, also known as the My 11 Circle Women's T20 Challenge for sponsorship reasons, was the fourth and final season of the Women's T20 Challenge, a Twenty20 tournament established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2018. Similar to the previous edition, it was a three-team tournament consisting of a group stage of three matches, followed by a final. In the final, IPL Supernovas beat IPL Velocity by 4 runs to win their 3rd title. The tournament was replaced by the Women's Premier League.
