IMTV Awards
An Irish Music Television (or IMTV) Video Music Award is an accolade bestowed upon the Irish video makers, directors and artists involved in producing the best music videos from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland during the previous year. The awards have been given annually at a ceremony in Dublin since 2009, organised by the website IrishMusic.TV (IMTV) with sponsorship from the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO). Catherine "Cathy" Davey (born 1979) is an Irish singer-songwriter. She has released one extended play, "Come Over" (2004), and four albums, '' Something Ilk'' (2004), ''Tales of Silversleeve'' (2007), '' The Nameless'' (2010) and ''New Forest'' (2016). Funeral Suits were an Irish alternative rock band from Dublin. History Funeral Suits began in 2007. All of the band members lived in the same area in Dublin, and were introduced to each other either online or through mutual friends. James Vincent McMorrow is an Irish singer and songwriter. Marcus Lambkin (born 1971) better known by the pseudonym Shit Robot is an Irish electronic musician and DJ. Career While working as a DJ in New York in 2000 he befriended James Murphy, later of LCD Soundsystem, and started a DJ partnership with him. Lambkin moved to rural Germany in 2004 and started producing his own music, with a number of releases on DFA Records from 2006. The Rubberbandits
The Rubberbandits are an Irish comedy hip-hop duo from Limerick city. They consist of Blindboy Boatclub (real name Dave Chambers) and Mr Chrome (sometimes Bobby Chrome; real name Bob McGlynn). During performances and interviews, they conceal their identities with masks made from plastic shopping bags. They are often accompanied by DJ Willie O'DJ, a silent masked caricature of local politician Willie O'Dea (portrayed by several consecutive men, including Spin South West DJ Paul Webb). The group describe themselves as artists, and have dubbed their movement as "Gas Cuntism". Chambers and McGlynn met while attending Ardscoil Rís, Limerick.
