Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna Rättvik, commonly known as IFK Rättvik, is a sports club in Rättvik, Sweden. The club colours are white and blue, like for most Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna, IFK clubs. The club was founded in 1906 and is playing bandy, association football and handball. History In the first year of bandy league system in Sweden, 1930–31, IFK Rättvik entered in Division 1 (bandy), Division 1 Norra together with AIK Bandy, AIK, Hammarby IF Bandy, Hammarby IF, IF Vesta, IK Sirius, Skutskärs IF, SK Tirfing, and Västerås SK Bandy, Västerås SK and finished 6th. Allsvenskan (bandy)
Allsvenskan (literally, "The All Swedish") ( sv, Allsvenskan i bandy) is since the 2007–08 the second highest level of bandy in Sweden and comprises 24 teams in two regional groups. This change was made when Allsvenskan and Elitserien were cancelled and a new top-tier called Elitserien was created. Structure During the first two years, Allsvenskan consisted of three groups with ten teams in each, i.e. a total of 30 teams. The groups were divided geographically, in Allsvenskan Norra (North), Allsvenskan Mellersta (Mid) and Allsvenskan Södra (South). For the third season, 2009–10, Allsvenskan was restructured into two groups, Norra and Södra, with 12 teams each, so there were only 24 teams left in total. This structure has so far (2014) been kept since then. IK Sirius
IK Sirius is a Swedish bandy club located in Uppsala, currently playing in Elitserien. IK Sirius were formed in 1907 and play their home games at Studenternas Idrottsplats. History IK Sirius' first success was becoming Swedish runners-up in 1918, they followed this up by becoming Swedish champions twice in 1921 and 1922, but they then didn't have any more success in the league until 1926 where they were runners-up and they were also runners-up in 1928. In the first year of bandy league system in Sweden, 1930–31, Sirius entered in Division 1 Norra together with AIK, Hammarby IF, IF Vesta, IFK Rättvik, Skutskärs IF, SK Tirfing, and Västerås SK and finished 5th. In the 1960s the club came back as one of the strongest in the league, finishing second behind Västerås SK in 1960. Västerås SK Bandy is the men's bandy side of the Swedish sports club Västerås SK, located in Västerås. The senior side currently plays in the Swedish Elitserien, the top division of Swedish bandy. Skutskärs IF is a bandy club in Skutskär, Sweden. The formal name of the club is ''Skutskärs IF/Bandyklubb''. The team colours are green and yellow. History The club was formally founded in 1989, when the former Skutskärs IF of 1915 was split in two, one club for bandy and one for association football. In the first year of bandy league system in Sweden, 1930–31, Skutskär entered in Division 1 Norra together with AIK, Hammarby IF, IF Vesta, IFK Rättvik, IK Sirius, SK Tirfing, and Västerås SK and finished 3rd. Hammarby IF Bandyförening is a Swedish bandy club from Södermalm, Stockholm, a section of the sports club Hammarby IF. Hammarby IF was founded under its present name in 1897 and has been playing bandy since 1905. The club currently play in Elitserien, which is the highest division in Sweden, and has won it twice. History Hammarby IF Bandy is one of the oldest bandy clubs in Sweden, founded in 1905 as a department of sports club Hammarby IF. At this time, there were several other Stockholm teams who also played bandy – AIK, IFK Stockholm, Djurgårdens IF, IF Swithiod and Djursholm.
