Izak Rankine
Izak Rankine (born 23 April 2000) is a professional Australian rules footballer who plays for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL), having previously been drafted to the Gold Coast Suns with pick 3 in the 2018 AFL draft. Early life Rankine was born in Adelaide into a family of Indigenous Australian descent (Kokatha and Ngarrindjeri). He shares a relation to Australian Football Hall of Fame inductee and 1993 Brownlow Medalist Gavin Wanganeen as well as being the first cousin of former AFL player Danyle Pearce. As a child, Rankine played an array of sports which included basketball, rugby and tennis but eventually chose to focus on Australian rules football. Danyle Pearce
Danyle Pearce (born 7 April 1986) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Port Adelaide Football Club and Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He played for the Port Adelaide between 2005 and 2012 and Fremantle between 2013 and 2018. Early life Danyle is of Indigenous Australian descent and his ancestry can be traced to the Kokatha. Sean Lemmens
Sean Lemmens (born 2 November 1994) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for Gold Coast Football Club in the Australian Football League. He is of Indigenous Australian heritage. Early career Lemmens was born into a family of Indigenous Australian descent ( Tiwi). He began playing junior football for the Salisbury Football Club and moved to the Port Adelaide Magpies. He progressed his way through the junior ranks at Port Adelaide before solidifying a reserves spot in the 2013. He debuted for the Magpies senior team in the final round of the 2013 SANFL season. Jack Lukosius (born 9 August 2000) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Gold Coast Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Lukosius was born in Adelaide, South Australia. His father, Robert, is of Lithuanian origin and played professional football for Woodville-West Torrens in the SANFL. The 2018 NAB AFL Under 18 Championships was the 23rd edition of the AFL Under 18 Championships. 2017 AFL Under 18 Championships
The 2017 NAB AFL Under 18 Championships was the 22nd edition of the AFL Under 18 Championships. For the previous two decades, the Under-18 Championships had been split into two divisions – with traditional football regions Vic Metro, Vic Country, Western Australia and South Australia in the top tier division one and Queensland, NSW-ACT, Tasmania and the Northern Territory in division two. However, with the growth in the strength of the northern academies, the division two carnival was changed to a five-round competition between the four academy clubs (Brisbane Lions, Gold Coast Suns, Greater Western Sydney Giants, Sydney Swans), Tasmania and the Northern Territory.
