Iyad Mohammad al-Khatib ( ar, اياد محمد الخطيب) (born 1974) is a Syrian politician. He has been Communications and Technology Minister since 26 November 2018. Career Held numerous administrative positions including Director of Damascus Communications Branch, Head of Technical Department at the Syrian Telecommunications Establishment and Executive Managing Director of the Syrian Telecom. In 2018, he was sanctioned by the European Union. Excellency
Excellency is an honorific style given to certain high-level officers of a sovereign state, officials of an international organization, or members of an aristocracy. The second government of Hussein Arnous was formed after appointment by the President of Syria on 10 August 2021 and took the oath of office on 14 August 2021, after the presidential election held in May. This replaced the caretaker ministry formed in July. Damascus Governorate ( ar, مُحافظة دمشق ') is one of the fourteen Governorates of Syria, governorates (provinces) of Syria.
