Ivonne Haza
Sara María Ivonne Haza del Castillo (25 December 1938 – 16 June 2022) was an operatic soprano from the Dominican Republic. In a career of more than 50 years, she appeared at the Eduardo Brito National Theater, National Theatre, and also in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Cuba. She also worked as a voice teacher, director of the National Opera, and speech therapist. She received honours from her home country and Italy, and an honorary doctorate from the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo Early life Ivonne Haza was born in Angelina, a batey (sugar workers' town), batey of a sugarcane mill in the San Pedro de Macorís Province on 25 December 1938. Her parents were Luis Felipe Haza González, a Cuban immigrant from Matanzas, and Rita Indiana del Castillo y Rodríguez-Objío. Rita was a granddaugther of Manuel Rodríguez Objío. San Pedro De Macorís Province
San Pedro de Macorís () is a Provinces of the Dominican Republic, province of the Dominican Republic, also the name of its San Pedro de Macorís, capital city. The city is fairly active due to its proximity to the national capital of Santo Domingo and also its role in the sugar industry. The province is informally known as San Pedro, SPM or Serie 23 for the first two numbers of their Dominican identification or Cédula de identidad, Cedula. Citizens from San Pedro de Macorís are called ''petromacorisanos''. The culture of the province shares many similarities with those of the other eastern provinces. For example, during carnival season, the ''diablos'' (devils) (Guloyas/ Buloyas) tend to wield ' (whips), which relates to the traditional cattle farming of the whole region. Carlos Chávez
Carlos Antonio de Padua Chávez y Ramírez (13 June 1899 – 2 August 1978) was a Mexican composer, conductor, music theorist, educator, journalist, and founder and director of the Mexican Symphonic Orchestra. He was influenced by native Mexican cultures. Of his six symphonies, the second, or '' Sinfonía india'', which uses native Yaqui percussion instruments, is probably the most popular. Víctor Bisonó
Víctor Orlando Bisonó Haza (born August 27, 1963) nicknamed Ito Bisonó, is a Dominican politician, Businessman and current member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Dominican Republic representing the 2nd circunscription of the National District since the year 2002. Bisonó was a member of the Social Christian Reformist Party, and he has been Second Vice President of the Dominican-Haitian Chamber of Commerce. Early life and education Ito Bisonó was born in Santo Domingo, and is the son of architect Victor Bisonó Pichardo, born into a prominent family from Villa Bisonó in Santiago, and Ivonne Haza, a renowned national soprano from San Pedro de Macorís.
