Ivone Silva
Maria Ivone da Silva Nunes (1936 — 1987), better known as Ivone Silva, was a Portuguese actress. She became famous for her humorous work on television and in revues. Early life Silva was the daughter of José António da Silva and Ermelinda Rosa Nunes Dias, both of whom worked as tailors. She was born on 24 April 1936 in Paio Mendes, a village located in the municipality of Ferreira do Zêzere in Portugal's Santarém District. From a very early age she was exposed to the performing arts, as her father was also an actor, having participated prominently in several Portuguese films. Her sister also became an actress. Their father died when she was 10. Silva left school at 13 and began working as a dressmaker, seamstress and, later, in a shop. Teatro Laura Alves
The ''Teatro Laura Alves'', was situated at 253 Rua da Palma in Lisbon. It opened on 29 December 1968 in a building that had previously been the ''Cinema Rex''. The theatre closed in late 1987 and the building burnt down in 2012. History The ''Cinema Rex'', with 541 seats, opened in November 1936 in a building that had been purchased by the Portuguese Spiritist Federation in 1929. The Federation owned it until the end of 1953, when it was taken over by order of the dictatorial '' Estado Novo'' regime after the Federation had been banned. As well as functioning as a cinema, the building was a popular location for events, such as Carnival parties. In January 1968 the cinema was closed and management was taken over by the impresario, Vasco Morgado, who named the building in honour of his wife, the actress Laura Alves. Teatro Aberto is a theatre located in Lisbon, Portugal next to the Praça Espanha. Together with the Portuguese Society of Authors (Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores), it organizes the annual Grande Prémio de Teatro Português. The Teatro Variedades was a famous Colosseum in the city of Madrid, Spain, in the 19th century. Erected in 1847, the theater was located at 40 Magdalena Street. Teatro Maria Vitória
The ''Teatro Maria Vitória'' is a theatre in Lisbon, capital of Portugal. It is located in the theatre district of Parque Mayer. Dedicated primarily to revues, which are known in Portugal as ''Teatro de Revista'', the ''Teatro Maria Vitória'' opened on 1 July 1922 in the Parque Mayer (Mayer Park) district of Lisbon, which was at one time known as the “ Broadway” of Lisbon. The theatre was named in honour of a fado singer, Maria Vitória, who had died at a young age in 1915. It started life as a wooden building.
