Ivanko (despot)
Ivanko ( bg, Иванко) was the ruler of the Despotate of Dobruja from 1385 to 1389, and again from 1393 to 1399. His father was Dobrotitsa. In 1385 or 1386, Dobrotitsa died and power passed into the hands of his son, Ivanko. Ivanko severed relations with the Patriarchate of Tarnovo due to worsening relations with Ivan Shishman of Bulgaria, Emperor Ivan Shishman and the areas under his rule became subordinate to the Patriarchate of Constantinople. To demonstrate the independence of the Despotate, Ivanko began to mint silver and bronze coins and in 1387 he signed a commercial treaty with Genoa in Pera (Beyoğlu), Pera, a colony of Genoa in Constantinople. This treaty ended the war with Genoa and provided for a Genoese trading colony in the territory of the Despotate and for the establishment of Bulgarian colony in Genoa. Ivanko ( bg, Иванко) killed Ivan Asen I, ruler of the renascent Second Bulgarian Empire, in 1196. The murder occurred when Asen angrily summoned Ivanko to discipline him for having an affair with his wife's sister. In 1197 Ivanko, who was a Vlach according to the terminology used by Niketas Choniates, married Theodora Angelina, the daughter of Anna Angelina and the ''sebastokrator'' Isaac Komnenos. Theodora's father had died in Bulgarian captivity not many months earlier. Ivanko Farolfi
Ivanko Farolfi ( Vis, 14 July 1892 – Lepoglava, April 1945) was a lawyer and Croatian and Yugoslavian politician. He was a member of the Croatian Peasant Party (''Hrvatska seljačka stranka'', HSS). He was the mayor of Vis in 1936–1941. After the World War II invasion of Yugoslavia Farolfi moved to Zagreb. Yugoslavia was dismembered and an Axis puppet Independent State of Croatia (''Nezavisna Država Hrvatska'', NDH) was established. The HSS split into several factions, but Farolfi stayed in a faction which remained loyal to the party's pre-war president Vladko Maček. Kliment of Tarnovo (born Vasil Nikolov Drumev, bg, Васил Николов Друмев; c. 1841 – 10 July 1901, known by his title as Metropolitan Kliment of Turnovo), was a leading Bulgarian clergyman and politician. He was also a writer and one of the founders of the Bulgarian Literature Society (BLS; now known as the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences) in 1869.
