Ivan Šaponjić
Ivan Šaponjić (Serbian Cyrillic alphabet, Serbian Cyrillic: Иван Шапоњић; born 2 August 1997) is a Serbian professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Forward (association football)#Striker, striker for ŠK Slovan Bratislava, Slovan Bratislava in the Slovak Super Liga, Niké Liga. At international level, Šaponjić won the gold medal for Serbia national under-20 football team, Serbia at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup, scoring two goals in the process. Club career Partizan Born in Nova Varoš, Šaponjić started playing football at local clubs Zlatar Nova Varoš and FK Sloboda Užice, Sloboda Užice before joining the youth academy of FK Partizan, Partizan. He made his senior debut for the club in a Serbian SuperLiga, league game on 30 November 2013, coming on as a 76th-minute substitute in a 2–0 home win over FK Spartak Subotica, Spartak Subotica. Nova Varoš
Nova Varoš ( sr-cyr, Нова Варош, ) is a town and municipality located in the Zlatibor District of southwestern Serbia. The municipality of Nova Varoš has a population of 16,638, while the town of Nova Varoš itself has a population of 8,795 inhabitants. History Nova Varoš was founded in the middle of the 16th century. It is associated with the name of Skender-pasha of Genoa. When Skender-pasha, traveling from Bosnia to Constantinople (1530), stopped with his entourage on the plateau below the mountain Zlatar and was delighted with the beauty of this wooded area and the intoxicating smell of pine, he ordered a town to be built there. Settlements soon sprang up on the site of today's Nova Varoš. It was called Skender-pašina palanka (''Skender-pasha's Palanka''). Serbian Cyrillic Alphabet
The Serbian Cyrillic alphabet ( sr, / , ) is a variation of the Cyrillic script used to write the Serbian language, updated in 1818 by Serbian linguist Vuk Stefanović Karadžić, Vuk Karadžić. It is one of the two alphabets used to write standard modern Serbian language, Serbian, the other being Gaj's Latin alphabet. Karadžić based his alphabet on the previous Slavonic-Serbian script, following the principle of "write as you speak and read as it is written", removing obsolete letters and letters representing iotified vowels, introducing from the Latin alphabet instead, and adding several consonant letters for sounds specific to Serbian phonology. During the same period, linguists led by Ljudevit Gaj adapted the Latin alphabet, in use in western South Slavic areas, using the same principles. 2019–20 Copa Del Rey
The 2019–20 Copa del Rey was the 118th staging of the Copa del Rey (including two seasons where two rival editions were played). FK Sinđelić Beograd () is a football club based in Voždovac, Belgrade, Serbia. They compete in the Serbian League Belgrade, the third tier of the national league system. History Founded in 1937, the club was named after the historical Serbian figure Stevan Sinđelić. They became part of a newly formed FD Drvodeljac in 1945. The club would merge with FD Građevinac to form FD Graditelj in 1946. They changed their name to Gvožđar in 1950 and finally to Sinđelić in the same year. The Serbian Cup ( Serbian: Куп Србије, Kup Srbije) is the national football cup of Serbia. The winner of the competition gets a spot in the UEFA Europa League qualifying round. From 2006 to 2010, the competition was known as the Lav Cup for sponsorship reasons. History Serbia's cup tournament is the legal successor to the Serbia and Montenegro Cup and in turn of the Yugoslav Cup. This cup tournament lasted for four seasons up until the dissolution of the state union of Serbia and Montenegro in 2006. Fudbalski klub Jagodina () is a Serbian professional football club based in the city of Jagodina, which plays in the Serbian First League, the second tier in Serbia's football league.
