Ivan Melnikov (politician)
Ivan Ivanovich Melnikov (russian: Ива́н Ива́нович Ме́льников; born 7 August 1950) is a Russian politician. He is the Vice-Chairman of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), and First Vice-Chairman of the State Duma. He is also a professor at Moscow State University. The State Duma (russian: Госуда́рственная ду́ма, r=Gosudárstvennaja dúma), commonly abbreviated in Russian as Gosduma ( rus, Госду́ма), is the lower house of the Federal Assembly of Russia, while the upper house is the Federation Council of Russia, Federation Council.
