Loving Vincent
''Loving Vincent'' ( pl, Twój Vincent) is a 2017 experimental adult animated biographical drama film about the life of the painter Vincent van Gogh, and, in particular, about the circumstances of his death. It is the first fully painted animated feature film. The film, written and directed by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman, is a Polish-UK co-production, funded by the Polish Film Institute, and partially through a Kickstarter campaign. First conceived as a seven-minute short film in 2008, ''Loving Vincent'' was realized by Dorota Kobiela, a painter herself, after studying the techniques and the artist's story through his letters. Each of the film's 65,000 frames is an oil painting on canvas, created using the same techniques as Van Gogh by a team of 125 artists drawn from around the globe. David Parfitt
David Parfitt (born 8 July 1958) is an English film producer, actor, and co-founder of Trademark Films. He won the Academy Award for Best Picture at the 71st Academy Awards for ''Shakespeare in Love'' (1998). Mike Carey (born 1959), also known by his pen name M. R. Carey, is a British writer of comic books, novels and films, whose credits include the long-running '' The Sandman'' spin-off series ''Lucifer'', a three-year stint on ''Hellblazer'', as well as his creator-owned titles '' Crossing Midnight'' and '' The Unwritten'' for DC Comics' Vertigo imprint, a lengthy run on Marvel's ''X-Men'', the 2014 novel '' The Girl with All the Gifts'' and its 2016 film adaptation.
