Ivan Kvesić
Ivan Kvesić (born 13 October 1996) is a Croatian karateka athlete who won a gold medal at the 2018 World Karate Championships held in Madrid, Spain. He represented Croatia at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. He competed in the men's +75kg event. Career In 2021, Kvesić lost his bronze medal match in the men's 84kg event at the World Karate Championships held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Kvesić won one of the bronze medals in the men's 84kg event at the 2022 Mediterranean Games held in Oran, Algeria. Mediterranean Games
The Mediterranean Games is a multi-sport event organised by the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (CIJM). It is held every four years among athletes from countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea in Africa, Asia and Europe. 2022 World Games
The 2022 World Games were an international multi-sport event held from July 7 to 17, 2022, in Birmingham, Alabama, United States. They were the 11th World Games, a multi-sport event featuring disciplines of Olympic sports and other competitions that are not currently contested at the Olympic Games; the Games featured 3,600 athletes competing in 206 medal events over 30 sports. The men's kumite 75 kg competition in Karate at the 2020 Summer Olympics was held on 6 August 2021 at the Nippon Budokan. Competition format The competition began with a two-pool round-robin stage followed by a single elimination stage. Each pool consisted of five athletes, with those positioned 1st and 4th seeded to Pool A, and those positioned 2nd and 3rd to Pool B.
