Ivan Hristov (canoeist)
Ivan Khristov ( bg, Иван Христов) (born 3 March 1982) is a Bulgarian sprint canoer who competed in the early to mid-2000s. He won a bronze medal in the K-4 1000 m event at the 2002 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Seville. Khristov also competed in two events at the 2004 Summer Olympics The 2004 Summer Olympics ( el, Θερινοί Ολυμπιακοί Αγώνες 2004, ), officially the Games of the XXVIII Olympiad ( el, Αγώνες της 28ης Ολυμπιάδας, ) and also known as Athens 2004 ( el, Αθήνα 2004), ... in Athens, finishing fourth in the K-4 1000 m while being eliminated in the semifinals of the K-2 500 m event. Ivan Hristov or Ivan Christoff ( bg, Иван Христов; born February, 1978 in Borovo, Bulgaria) is a Bulgarian poet, and critic. His first book of poetry, ''Sbogom devetnajsti vek'' (''Farewell to the 19th century''), was published in 2001 and won the prestigious 2002 Southern Spring award for the best debut book. His second book of poetry, ''Bdin'', was published in 2004 and received critical acclaim, as well as the 2006 Svetlostruj Prize for poetry. He is also the author of the poetry collections ''Amerikanski poemi'' (''American Poems'', 2013), as well as of ''Luboven recnik'' (''A Dictionary of Love'', 2018) which received The Culture is The Refuge of Humanity award at Safi International Forum of Poetry, Morocco 2018.
