Ivan Garelov
Ivan Garelov ( bg, Иван Гарелов) (born 6 February 1943) is a popular Bulgarian journalist and television presenter. Biography Garelov is a graduate of Sofia University, where he studied journalism. Since 1972, he has been part of the BNT staff. He was for a long time the host of the show "Panorama" (Bulgarian: "Панорама") before being succeeded by Boyko Vasilev. Garelov has also worked at Nova TV and BTV. Pazardzhik Province
Pazardzhik Province ( bg, Област Пазарджик ''Oblast Pazardzhik'', former name Pazardzhik okrug) is a province in Southern Bulgaria, named after its administrative and industrial centre - the city of Pazardzhik. The territory is that is divided into 12 municipalities with a total population of 275,548 inhabitants, as of February 2011. BTV (Bulgaria)
bTV is the first private nationwide television channel in Bulgaria. It is operated by bTV Media Group, as part of Central European Media Enterprises, and is reportedly the Bulgarian television channel with the largest viewing audience. It was previously owned by Balkan News Corporation, part of News Corporation. On February 18, 2010, News Corp announced that it had agreed to sell 94% of bTV (along with bTV Comedy and bTV Cinema) to Central European Media Enterprises, after many months of negotiations. The US$400M deal was completed in the second quarter of 2010. bTV has a 37% market share in Bulgaria. bTV is broadcast terrestrially in Bulgaria and by satellite internationally. Elena Nikolova Yoncheva ( bg, Елена Николова Йончева) (born 27 May 1964) is a Bulgarian freelance journalist and politician who has been serving as a Member of the European Parliament since 2019. A former Bulgarian National Television correspondent, Yoncheva has reported from many conflict areas. She has authored more than 25 TV documentaries on these conflicts including Ukraine, after filming the war in Donbas she was informed that she was not allowed to enter the country anymore. and while reporting from Iraq in 2003, she had a narrow escape from tragedy being rescued from armed civilians by an Iraqi official. TV7 (Bulgaria)
TV7 ("TV sedem") was a Bulgarian television channel, owned by Crown Media EAD (ProSiebenSat.1 Media). It aired entertainment programs, TV series and films, and was also the first Bulgarian station to broadcast in widescreen PAL (16:9, although the aspect ratio was usually left as 4:3, making the image appearing vertically elongated on normal TV sets). The channel was available terrestrially in over 50 cities and towns, thus comprising the fifth national free-to-view TV network in Bulgaria and also on cable television and satellite. In August 2007 TV7 launched two sister channels: Super7, a kids' channel, and Sport7, a sports channel. Nova, stylized as NOVA and previously marketed as NTV or Nova Television, is a Bulgarian free-to-air television network launched on 16 July 1994 ( 28 years ago ). Nova TV, alongside the channels Kino Nova, Nova Sport, DIEMA, Diema Family and Diema Sport are part of Nova Broadcasting Group and owned by United Group. On 31 July 2008, Swedish media conglomerate Modern Times Group bought Nova TV from Antenna Group for €620 million. The deal was completed on 16 October 2008. Boyko Vassilev Petrov ( bg, Бойко Василев Петров) (born on 9 January 1970) is a Bulgarian journalist who is the producer and presenter of the weekly TV show ''Panorama'' that airs on Bulgarian National Television. Biography Vassilev was born January 9, 1970, in Pernik, Bulgaria. In 1989, he graduated from the 91st German Language High School in Sofia. He was awarded a golden medal, an honorary diploma of the Ministry of Education and won first place in the School National Olympiad of Literature. That same year, he was admitted to the University of Sofia's faculty of Journalism, graduating in 1994. In 2001, Vassilev presented his PhD thesis in sociology, which was validated by the Supreme Attestation Commission. The Bulgarian National Television ( Bulgarian: Българска национална телевизия, ''Balgarska natsionalna televizia'') or BNT (БНТ), stylized as ·Б·Н·Т· since 2018, is a public television broadcaster of Bulgaria.
