Itamar Batista Da Silva
Itamar Batista da Silva (born April 12, 1980, in Santa Maria de Itabira, Minas Gerais, Brazil), known as just Itamar, is a Brazilian football player. His previous clubs include Chiapas, Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma, Suwon Samsung Bluewings, Pohang Steelers, Chunnam Dragons, Tigres UANL, Flamengo and Ceará Sporting Club. Itamar spent a total of five years in South Korea, playing for four clubs before it was announced in January 2008 that Chiapas of Mexico acquired the player. In his first season, he scored 12 goals in 18 games. In January 2011 Itamar moved to Al Rayyan Sports Club in Qatar on loan from Tigres UANL. The 2006 K League was the 24th season of the K League, which kicked off on March 12. The format of the regular season and playoffs was the same as the one used in the 2005 season. It took a break for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in June and July. The playoff games were held in November. SK Group, the owners of Bucheon SK, moved their club to Jeju, and renamed the club Jeju United. The club was based in the Jeju World Cup Stadium of Seogwipo. Gyeongnam FC joined the K League, increasing the number of clubs to fourteen. The 2005 K League was the 23rd season of the K League. It kicked off on May 15, and was finished on 4 December. The format of the regular season and championship playoffs was the same as the one used in the 2004 season. Busan IPark won the first stage, and the second stage was won by Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma. Two winners were guaranteed their slot in the end-of-season playoffs. Incheon United and Ulsan Hyundai Horang-i also joined the playoffs according to the overall table after two stages. In the semi-finals Ulsan defeated Seongnam 2–1, and Incheon defeated Busan 2–0. The two victorious teams faced each other in the two-legged championship final. Ulsan won the first leg 5–1 at the Incheon stadium, and though Incheon won the second leg 2–1, Ulsan lifted their second league title 6–3 on aggregate. Al-Rayyan Sports Club () is a Qatari multi-sports club fielding teams in a number of sports such as football, futsal, basketball, volleyball, handball, athletics, table tennis, and swimming.
