Italy Women's National Ball Hockey Team
The Italy women's national ball hockey team is the women's national ball hockey team of Italy, and a member of the International Street and Ball Hockey Federation (ISBHF). The current team captain is Canadian-born Christina D'Ambrogio, who is of Italian heritage and once competed in NCAA women's ice hockey with the Holy Cross Crusaders. World Championships Italy made its world championship debut at the 2013 world championship, hosted in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, finishing with a 1–2–0 record. Diana Brown was the head coach for Italy's inaugural entry in the ball hockey worlds, with Michel Bodaly served as an assistant coach. Serving as team captain at the 2013 Worlds was Flora Fioccola (Pannunzio), who served as Team Italia's general manager at the 2015 Worlds. Kori Cheverie
Kori Cheverie (born June 18, 1987) is a Canadian retired ice hockey player, currently serving as assistant coach of the Canadian national women's ice hockey team and of the Ryerson Rams men's ice hockey team. She was the first woman to be hired to a full-time coaching role in U Sports men's ice hockey history. Cheverie's playing career was spent with the Saint Mary's Huskies women's ice hockey team in the Atlantic University Sport conference of Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS; renamed U Sports in 2016) and with the Toronto Furies of the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL), with whom she won the 2014 Clarkson Cup. Alicia Blomberg
Alicia Furletti-Blomberg (born 1989) is a Canadian ball hockey player and member of the Canadian national ball hockey team. She is a three-time Ball Hockey World Championship gold medallist with the Canadian team, winning in 2013, 2015 and 2022. During 2012 to 2015, Blomberg competed in the women's division of Red Bull Crashed Ice, capturing a bronze medal in 2014. A former ice hockey player, her university ice hockey career was played at the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) level with the Ottawa Gee Gees women's ice hockey program. The United States Women's National Ball Hockey Team is the women's national ball hockey team of United States, and a member of the International Street and Ball Hockey Federation (ISBHF). The Markham Thunder was a professional women's ice hockey team in the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL). From 1998 through 2017, the franchise was known as the Brampton Thunder and Brampton Canadettes-Thunder before relocating from Brampton, Ontario, to Markham, Ontario, for the 2017–18 season. The Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL; french: Ligue canadienne de hockey féminin ‒ LCHF) was a women's ice hockey league. Established in 2007 as a Canadian women's senior league in the Greater Toronto Area, Montreal, and Ottawa, the league eventually expanded into Alberta, as well as teams in China and the United States throughout its tenure.
