It Is Well (album)
''It Is Well: A Worship Album by Kutless'', more commonly referred to as ''It Is Well'', is the second worship album and sixth full-length album by the Christian rock band Kutless. It was released on October 20, 2009. The first single, "What Faith Can Do," has seen success on the Christian Adult Contemporary Chart, the Inspirational/Soft Rock Chart, and the Christian CHR (Pop) Chart. The album debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's Hot Christian Albums chart and No. 42 on the Billboard Top 200. Recently, they have released a music video for their hit song "What Faith Can Do." The song "What Faith Can Do" charted at No. 19 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart. Musically, the album deviates away from the hard rock sound on their previous albums and features a softer, calmer tone. Kutless is an American Christian rock band from Portland, Oregon formed in 1999. Since their formation, they have released multiple studio albums and one live album, ''Live from Portland''. They have sold over 3 million records worldwide. History Earlier years (1999–2000) The band was formed in Portland, Oregon, as a campus worship band named "Call Box". They performed during the 1999–2000 school year at Warner Pacific College. Their first guitarist, Andrew Morrison, decided to leave the band shortly before they signed with BEC records. James Mead replaced Andrew at lead guitar. The Band changed their name to "Kutless" in October 2001, before releasing their first three-track EP followed up by their full-length album in 2002 on BEC Recordings. Kathryn Scott (singer)
Kathryn Sarah Scott (born 29 September 1974) is a contemporary worship music songwriter and worship leader from Northern Ireland. She has written songs such as "Hungry", "At the Foot of the Cross", and "Search Me" for the worshipping church. She released her first album, ''Satisfy'', in 2004, and followed it up with ''I Belong'' in 2007 and ''We Still Believe'' in 2010. She returned in 2020 with ''Speak to Me'', released in partnership with Watershed Music Group. The 41st Annual GMA Dove Awards presentation was held on April 21, 2010 recognizing accomplishments of musicians for the year 2009. The show was held at The Opry Entertainment Complex in Nashville, Tennessee, and was hosted by Bart Millard. Nominations were announced on February 18, 2010 during a press conference at Belmont University's Curb Café in Nashville, Tennessee. A Dove Award is an accolade by the Gospel Music Association (GMA) of the United States to recognize outstanding achievement in the Christian music industry. The awards are presented annually. Formerly held in Nashville, Tennessee, the Dove Awards took place in Atlanta, Georgia during 2011 and 2012, but has since moved back to Nashville. Keith Gordon Green (October 21, 1953 – July 28, 1982) was an American pianist, singer, and songwriter in the contemporary Christian music genre, who was originally from Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, New York. Steve Hindalong
Steve Hindalong (born November 29, 1959) is an American drummer, percussionist, songwriter and producer best known for his work with the alternative rock band the Choir. Since 2006, Hindalong has also been an official member of the alternative country supergroup Lost Dogs. After becoming a prolific producer in the late 1990s, Hindalong received several Dove awards (2001 and 2003, "Special Event Album of the Year") for his work on the '' City on a Hill'' project. Carey Marcus "Marc" Byrd (born 1970) is an American musician, writer, and producer best known as one-half of the post-rock/ ambient duo Hammock with Andrew Thompson. Since its formation in 2005, Hammock has released ten full-length albums and five EPs. Jonathan Michael Howard (born April 27, 1985 in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania) is an American musician, songwriter, record producer and entrepreneur.
