''It Happened in Seville'' (Spanish: ''Sucedió en Sevilla'') is a 1955 Spanish musical film directed by José Gutiérrez Maesso and starring Juanita Reina, Rubén Rojo and Alfredo Mayo.Gómez p.132 It is a remake of the 1942 film '' The White Dove'' in which Reina had also starred. It was remade again in 1966 as '' Road to Rocío '' with Carmen Sevilla as the lead. The film's sets were designed by Enrique Alarcón. Alejandro Pérez Lugín (1870–1926) was a Spanish writer and film director. He attended university in Santiago de Compostela, and a number of his books have Galicia (Spain), Galician themes. Juan José Menéndez Gutiérrez de la Torre (15 May 1929 – 7 November 2003) better known as Juanjo Menéndez was a Spanish actor. He appeared in more than 90 films and television shows between 1953 and 1997. Rocío Espinosa López-Cepero (born 18 February 1931, in Seville), known professionally as Laura Valenzuela, or Laurita Valenzuela in her beginnings, is a retired Spanish television presenter, actress and model.
