''It Came from Hollywood'' is a 1982 American comedy documentary film compiling clips from various B movies. Written by Dana Olsen and directed by Malcolm Leo and Andrew Solt, the film features wraparound segments and narration by several famous comedians, including Dan Aykroyd, John Candy, Gilda Radner, and Cheech and Chong. Sections of ''It Came from Hollywood'' focus on gorilla pictures, anti- marijuana films and the works of Ed Wood. The closing signature song was the doo wop hit " What's Your Name" by Don and Juan. Gorillas are herbivorous, predominantly ground-dwelling great apes that inhabit the tropical forests of equatorial Africa. ''Perils of Nyoka'' is a 1942 Republic serial directed by William Witney. It stars Kay Aldridge as Nyoka the Jungle Girl, a character who first appeared in the Edgar Rice Burroughs-inspired serial ''Jungle Girl''. Plot Nyoka, with help from Larry Grayson, attempts to discover the golden tablets of Hippocrates. The tablets contain the medical knowledge of the ancients and are being buried along with gold and other treasure. Also hunting for the tablets are Queen Vultura (Ruler of the Arabs) and Cassib. ''Marihuana'' is a 1936 exploitation film directed by Dwain Esper, and written by Esper's wife, Hildagarde Stadie. Plot Burma is a confused girl who likes to party. One day she meets some strangers in a bar who invite her and her group to a party. At the party everybody drinks alcohol and the girls unknowingly smoke marijuana, which keeps them laughing. Burma and her boyfriend have sex on the beach while her friends go skinny-dipping. One of the girls drowns at the skinny-dipping party and all her friends must keep the details of the party a secret. When Burma tells her boyfriend she's pregnant from their beach encounter, she pressures him to marry her. He says everything will be fine and turns to the strangers who threw the party for a job to support his family-to-be. Don And Juan
Don and Juan were an American R&B vocal duo from Long Beach, New York, United States, consisting of Roland "Don" Trone (July 2, 1936 – May 1982) and Claude "Juan" (aka "Sonny") Johnson (November 24, 1934 – October 31, 2002). Johnson had previously sung with a doo-wop group called the Genies, who reached No. 71 on the ''Billboard'' pop chart in 1959, with "Who's That Knocking" on the Shad record label. Johnson had also co-written "Who's That Knocking". Don and Juan's sole top 40 hit was "What's Your Name" on Big Top Records 45-3079, released in late 1961 which reached No. 7 on the ''Billboard'' pop chart in 1962. Later they had a less successful follow-up record with "Magic Wand", Big Top 45-3121.
