''It's the Paris Life'' (French: ''C'est la vie parisienne'') is a 1954 French comedy film directed by Alfred Rode and starring Claudine Dupuis, Philippe Lemaire and Raymond Bussières.Hayward p.465 It was shot in Gevacolor. The film portrays the development of Parisian musical culture between 1900 and 1950. Alfred Rode
Alfred Rode (born Alfred Spedaliere; 4 June 1905 – 22 July 1979) was an Italian-born French composer, musician, actor and film director. He was born in Torre del Greco. In 1936 Rode appeared in the British film '' Gypsy Melody'' alongside Lupe Vélez, which was a remake of his own 1935 film '' Juanita''.Vogel p.196-97 Rode was married to the French actress Claudine Dupuis from 1951. Claude Luter
Claude Luter (23 July 1923 – 6 October 2006) was a jazz clarinetist who doubled on soprano saxophone. Luter was born and died in Paris. He began on trumpet, but switched to clarinet. He might be best known for being an accompanist to Sidney Bechet when he was in Paris, but he also worked with Barney Bigard and French writer and musician Boris Vian. José Dupuis (actor)
Joseph-Lambert Dupuis (known as José Dupuis) (18 March 1833, Liège – 9 May 1900, Nogent-sur-Marne) was a Belgian singer and actor. He was principally active in opéra-bouffe in Paris, in particular at the Théâtre des Variétés. Career After making his stage debut in Liège, he moved to Paris in 1851 and made his debut at the Théâtre du Luxembourg-Bobino in 1854. In 1857 he was taken on by Hervé at his Folies-Nouvelles, and continued when the theatre became the Théâtre Déjazet (after its joint manager Virginie Déjazet), only moving on, after fifty or so creations, to the Théâtre des Variétés; he made his debut there on 18 May 1861 in ''Le Sylphe'', a vaudeville by Edmond Rochefort, Charles Varin and Desvergers.
