''It's a Knockout'' was an Australian game show that was adapted from the original British version of the same name, which in turn was adapted from the French show, ''Intervilles''. It originally ran from 17 April 1985 to 11 September 1987. It was later briefly revived albeit less successfully on 27 November 2011 on Network Ten and hosted by HG Nelson and Brad McEwan with Charli Robinson. History An Australian version of ''It's a Knockout'' ran on Network Ten from 1985 to 1987. The teams were divided by Australian states New South Wales (NSW), Victoria (VIC), Queensland (QLD) and South Australia (SA) with each team being represented by members of an Apex Club in their home state or territory. TV Tonight is an Australian-based website which features reviews, news and programming information related to television in Australia as well as OzTAM ratings information. The site was started by television critic David Knox in 2007 after listeners of his radio programs asked him for information they had missed. Knox runs the site, publishing his interviews with Australian media actors, producers, directors and programmers. Knox regularly visits the sets of Australian television series and reviews television programs. Knox also served as television critic for Radio National's breakfast program from 2009 to 2015. Dan Barrett is now in this role. Knox has an advanced diploma in screenwriting and was the founding Artistic Director of Screenplay. The Old English Sheepdog is a large breed of dog that emerged in England from early types of herding dog. Obsolete names for the breed include Shepherd's Dog and . The nickname ''Bob-tail'' (or ''Bobtail'') originates from how dogs of the breed traditionally had their tails docked. Old English Sheepdogs can grow very long coats with fur covering the face and eyes and do not shed unless brushed. Jacki MacDonald (born Jenine MacDonald; 26 November 1953) in Blackall, Queensland is a former Australian television personality, who now works in radio broadcasting. Career Popular in her home state of Queensland, MacDonald appeared on a number of local programs in the 1970s including her own show, ''Jacki and all that Jazz'', on QTQ-9 and a daily breakfast program, ''The Jacki Mac Show'', on TVQ-0. In 1978 she was GTV-9's replacement for Daryl Somers and puppet sidekick Ossie Ostrich when the pair moved to 0-10. After she presented ''The Super Saturday Show'' for several months, Somers returned to Nine and she was asked to join them as co-presenter of a revival of ''Hey Hey It's Saturday'', a role which she would continue for nine years. ''Hey Hey It's Saturday'' was a long-running variety television program on Australian television. It initially ran for 28 years on the Nine Network from 9 October 1971 to 20 November 1999, with a recess in 1978. Its host throughout its entire run was Daryl Somers, who later also became executive producer of the program. The original producer, Gavan Disney, left the program in the 1980s and Somers then jointly formed his own production company, Somers Carroll Productions, with comedy writer and on-screen partner Ernie Carroll, the performer of Somers' pink ostrich puppet sidekick Ossie Ostrich. On 25 July 2009, the Nine Network announced the show would return for two reunion specials in late 2009 and hinted if they rated strongly, the show could return full-time.
