"It's in the Rain" is the second European single released by Enya from her 2005 album '' Amarantine''. It was released in some European countries in the first half of 2006. In others, including the UK and Ireland, the single was released in November 2006, to promote the re-issue of the Amarantine album. This edition had a different single cover and was a double A-side with the traditional carol Adeste Fideles. Enya Patricia Brennan (; ga, Eithne Pádraigín Ní Bhraonáin; born 17 May 1961), known professionally by the mononym Enya, is an Irish singer, songwriter, and musician known for modern Celtic music. She is the best-selling Irish solo artist in history and the second-best-selling overall artist in Ireland after U2. Born into a musical family and raised in the Irish-speaking area of Gweedore, County Donegal, Enya began her music career in 1980 when she joined her family's Celtic folk band, Clannad, playing keyboards and singing. She left the group in 1982 to pursue a solo career with Clannad's manager and producer Nicky Ryan and Ryan's wife Roma Ryan as her lyricist. ''Amarantine'' is the sixth studio album by Irish singer-songwriter and musician Enya, released on 21 November 2005 by Warner Bros. Records internationally and by Reprise Records in the United States the next day. Following the release of her 2002 compilation box set ''Only Time – The Collection'', Enya took a short break before she started work on a new album in September 2003, her first since ''A Day Without Rain'' (2000). ''Amarantine'' was recorded in Ireland with her longtime recording partners, arranger and producer Nicky Ryan and his wife, lyricist Roma Ryan. Roma Ryan
Roma Shane Ryan (born 20 January 1954 in Belfast) is an Irish writer, poet, and lyricist, currently living in Killiney, Ireland, with her husband Nicky Ryan. Ryan is the primary lyricist for the singer Enya, who has stated that the importance of the Ryans' contributions are such that without them, Enya would not exist. Biography and work with Enya Roma Ryan (nee Shane) and Nicky Ryan met Enya in 1978; Nicky Ryan was managing Enya's family's band Clannad. Enya had just finished secondary school when Nicky Ryan rang her, asking if she would become a member of the group. Nicky Ryan
Nicholas Dominick Ryan (born 14 July 1946) is an Irish music producer, recording engineer, and manager. He is best known as the longtime business and recording partner for the singer, songwriter and musician Enya alongside his wife, poet and lyricist Roma Ryan. Born and raised in Dublin, Ryan gained initial recognition in the 1970s and 1980s for his work with several artists including Gary Moore, Planxty, Christy Moore and Clannad. Early life Nicholas Dominick Ryan was born in 1946 in Dublin, Ireland. As a youngster, he won a song contest with a rendition of "In the Mood" by Glenn Miller for which the prize was to meet the Beatles, one of his favourite bands. "Amarantine" is a single by Irish musician Enya, taken from the album of the same name. The word is taken from ancient Greek and means ''everlasting'' or ''immortal'' (the same as the amaranth flower). The single was released in the United Kingdom on 5 December 2005. Several versions of "Amarantine" were released, some containing all three tracks, and some omitting the "Spaghetti Western" track. In some areas, Reprise released both a "Part I" single containing "Amarantine" and "The Comb of the Winds" and a "Part II" single that contained all three tracks. The "Spaghetti Western Theme" is an atypical Enya recording arranged in the style of Ennio Morricone's work on films such as ''A Fistful of Dollars'' and ''The Good, the Bad and the Ugly''. "Trains and Winter Rains" is a single (music), single by Irish musician Enya, the first to be released from her 2008 studio album ''And Winter Came...''. It premiered on the BBC Radio 2 show ''Wake up to Wogan'' on 29 September 2008. The song features Agnus Dei, a Christianity, Christian verse commonly heard in churches.
