Isyaku Ibrahim
Isyaku Ibrahim (also spelled Isiaku) is a Kano (city), Kano-based Nigerian politician and businessman. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the ruling People's Democratic Party (Nigeria), People's Democratic Party (PDP) and is President of the Nigeria Universities Games Association (NUGA). Biography Ibrahim was a member of Nigeria's parliament in the early 1960s, before the nation's first military coup. Ibrahim was a founding member of the PDP, and remains on its Board of Trustees. He initially backed Alex Ekwueme for the PDP presidential nomination in the 1999 elections, but Ekweume lost out to Olusegun Obasanjo. Ibrahim switched to supporting Obasanjo, who won the nomination and election. However, he has since criticized Obasanjo for showing "no respect for the rule of law", and said that although Umaru Yar'Adua has taken over as President, Obasanjo is still "the de facto ruler of Nigeria". Kano (city)
Kano (Ajami: كانو) is a city in northern Nigeria and the capital of Kano State. It is the second largest city in Nigeria after Lagos, with over four million citizens living within ; located in the Savanna, south of the Sahel, Kano is a major route of the trans-Saharan trade. Alexander Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme (21 October 1932 – 19 November 2017) was the first elected Vice President of Nigeria from 1979 to 1983 during the Second Nigerian Republic serving under President Shehu Shagari as a member of the National People’s Party (NPP). Personal life Alex Ekwueme was born to Igbo parents in Oko Town, in present day Anambra State on 21 October 1932. He died at 10.00pm on Sunday 19 November 2017 at a clinic in London. Chief Olusegun Matthew Okikiola Ogunboye Aremu Obasanjo, , ( ; yo, Olúṣẹ́gun Ọbásanjọ́ ; born 5 March 1937) is a Nigerian political and military leader who served as Nigeria's head of state from 1976 to 1979 and later as its president from 1999 to 2007. Umaru Musa Yar'Adua (16 August 19515 May 2010) was a Nigerian politician who, was the President of Nigeria from 2007 to 2010. He was declared the winner of the Nigerian presidential election held on 21 April 2007, and was sworn in on 29 May 2007. Patricia Olubunmi Foluke Etteh (born 17 August 1953) was the Speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives between June and October, 2007. Personal life and education Etteh, a Yoruba, was born on 17 August 1953.
