Isuzu Motors (Thailand)
Isuzu Motors Co., (Thailand) Ltd. is an automotive manufacturer based in Samrong Tai, Samut Prakan, Thailand. It is the Thai subsidiary of Isuzu. History Isuzu began to build vehicles in Thailand since 1963 by the Isuzu Assembling Plant. Isuzu Motors (Thailand) was established in 1966 when it established a manufacturing factory for pick-up trucks in the Samut Prakan Province with a capacity of 155,000 units per year. Isuzu would quickly become a market leader and by 2002, the company transferred its original production base from Fujisawa, Kanagawa, Japan to its Thai subsidiary. Isuzu claimed the largest share of the Thai commercial vehicle market, having outperformed its competitors since 1988. By 2006, the company transferred to an industrial zone in Chachoengsao Province so they can support further production expansion. Phra Pradaeng District
Phra Pradaeng ( th, พระประแดง, ) is a district (''amphoe'') of Samut Prakan province in Thailand. History Phra Pradeang was the original center of the area south of Bangkok near the mouth of the Chao Phraya River. Originally named ''Nakhon Khuan Khan'' (นครเขื่อนขันธ์), it was settled by Mon people. In 1815, King Rama II built the Pom Phlaeng Faifa Fort at the river's bend. Isuzu D-Max
The Isuzu D-Max is a pickup truck manufactured since 2002 by Isuzu Motors. A successor of the Isuzu Faster/KB, the first and second-generation model shares its platform with the Chevrolet Colorado. The third-generation model shares its platform with the third-generation Mazda BT-50, which is produced in the same Isuzu plant in Thailand. In Australasia between 2003 and 2008, the D-Max was marketed as the Holden Rodeo, but then it was relaunched as the Holden Colorado.
