Isuzu HICOM Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (IHM) is a Malaysian commercial vehicle manufacturer operating under a joint venture between the DRB-HICOM and Isuzu companies, based in Peramu Jaya Industrial Area in Pekan, Malaysia. The company was established in January 1994 as HICOM Commercial Vehicle Sdn. Bhd. and later changes name in April 1996 as Malaysia Truck & Bus Sdn. Bhd. The company took the current name in June 2006 when Isuzu took over the majority of shares. It is based at Peramu Jaya Industrial Area in Pekan, Malaysia. The Chief Executive Officer is Taizo Nakahigashi. The site comprises an area of 14 hectares. 12,000 to 14,000 units are produced here every year. The company launched HICOM Perkasa, a licensed version of the Isuzu Elf fifth generation in 1996. Its second product, Mercedes-Benz W211, was launched in January 2005. DRB-HICOM Berhad () is one of Malaysia's leading corporations, involved in the automotive manufacturing, assembly and distribution industry through its involvement in the passenger car and four wheel drive vehicle market segment, the national truck project and the national motorcycle project. DRB-HICOM is the majority shareholder of Malaysia's national car company, Proton, with China's Zhejiang Geely Holding Group the other shareholder since an equity sale in 2017. Isuzu D-Max
The Isuzu D-Max is a pickup truck manufactured since 2002 by Isuzu Motors. A successor of the Isuzu Faster/KB, the first and second-generation model shares its platform with the Chevrolet Colorado. The third-generation model shares its platform with the third-generation Mazda BT-50, which is produced in the same Isuzu plant in Thailand. The Isuzu Trooper is a full-size SUV that was produced by the Japanese automaker Isuzu between 1981 and 2007.
