István Sallói
István Sallói (born 26 September 1966 in Oroszlány) is a former Hungarian football player. Sallói came from a footballing family with his grandfather playing in lower divisions before later becoming a referee. His father played in the Hungarian first league at Tatabanya FC. Playing career Started his career at Videoton FC young team (1981) and became professional player 1986. Played for ETO FC GYOR (1988–1989) as loan player meanwhile he served his army duty at Győr. Returned to Videoton and became the captain and the leader in his home team. His best year was 1992-93 when he was invited to the national team and voted as the Player of the Year and finished 2nd best scorer. He signed for Honved with the aim to be champion and get an offer from abroad. End of the year of 1994 he accepted the offer from Beitar Jerusalem. Oroszlány
Oroszlány (german: Ohreslahn) is a city in Hungary, Komárom-Esztergom county, Central Transdanubia region, located on the North-West flanks of the Vértes Mountains. It has a population of 20.487. The main tourist attraction of the town is the 18th-century Camaldolese monastery of Majk. Etymology The name of the town comes from the lion ( hu, oroszlán) on the coat of arms of the Csák family that founded it. History There was a settlement in Környe near the town already during the Roman era (Quirinum), but there are also traces from even earlier from the Avar people whose presence is attested by the cemetery remains found in 1957 and 1973. Magyar Kupa
The Hungarian Cup ( hu, Magyar Kupa) is the Hungarian cup competition for football clubs. It was started by the Hungarian Football Association, the ''Magyar Labdarúgó Szövetség,'' in 1909, eight years after the commencement of the Hungarian League ( hu, Nemzeti Bajnokság). Besides all of the professional clubs of Hungary numerous amateur sides take part every year. These have to qualify through local cup competitions. The most successful participant in the Magyar Kupa has been Ferencváros with 24 wins, followed by local rivals MTK with 12 cups. NB II, currently known as the Merkantil Bank Liga for sponsorship reasons, is the second tier of Hungarian football. At the end of the 2004–05 season, the tournament format was changed from one division of 14 teams to two divisions: ''Keleti'' (Eastern) and ''Nyugati'' (Western), each with 16 teams. In 2013 the format was changed and there is one division again with 16 teams, and then 20 teams from 2015. The champion and the runner-up will ascend to the first division while the two lowest teams in NB II are relegated to NB III. The Israel Toto Cup ( he, גביע הטוטו, ''Gvia Ha'Toto'') is an association football tournament that features clubs in the two highest divisions in Israel: the Israeli Premier League ( Ligat Ha'Al), and the second division Liga Leumit. From 1999 to 2009, the tournament was also open to clubs from the third division, until the cancellation of Liga Artzit. The 1997–98 Liga Leumit season began on 2 August 1997 and ended on 9 May 1998, with Beitar Jerusalem win their second consecutive title. That season had two rounds, each team played the other teams twice. The two teams that were relegated to Liga Artzit were: Hapoel Ashkelon and Hapoel Be'er Sheva. The association football champions of Israel are the winners of the highest league in Israeli football, which is currently the Israeli Premier League.
