''Non scholæ sed vitæ'' is a Latin phrase. Its longer form is ''non scholæ sed vitæ discimus'', which means "We do not learn for school, but for life". The ''scholae'' and ''vitae'' are first-declension feminine datives of purpose. The motto is an inversion of the original, which appeared in Seneca the Younger's ''Moral Letters to Lucilius'' around AD 65. It appears in an ''occupatio'' passage wherein Seneca imagines Lucilius's objections to his arguments. Sıla Gençoğlu (born 17 June 1980) is a Turkish singer-songwriter. She was born in Acıpayam, Denizli, and later moved to İzmir and then to Istanbul to finish her studies. Ahmet Rona Serozan (15 June 1942 – 6 November 2018) was a Turkish jurist, university professor of civil law, lawyer and writer. Early life Ahmet Rona Serozan was born to Sami and Maide Serozan in a wealthy family in Istanbul, Turkey on 15 June 1942. His father was a textile engineer and interpreneur in yarn manufacturing.
