The Istanbul Basketball League ( Turkish: ''İstanbul Basketbol Ligi'') was a regional basketball league competition in Turkey, that was run by the Turkish Basketball Federation from 1926 to 1966. Basketball

Beyoğluspor Kulübü, also known as the Beyoğlu Sports Club, or by its historic Greek name of Pera Sports Club ( el, ΑΣΠ; Αθλητικός Σύλλογος Πέραν), or simply Pera Club, is an amateur sports club based in Istanbul, Turkey. Modaspor basketball team ( tr, Modaspor basketbol takımı) is the amateur basketball department of the Turkish sports club Modaspor, based in the district of Kadıköy, Istanbul. The team competes in the Istanbul Men's Amateur League. History The basketball team of Modaspor was founded in 1946 and soon became one of the most successful Turkish basketball teams in the 1950s. Beykoz (), also known as Beicos and Beikos, is a district in Istanbul, Turkey at the northern end of the Bosphorus on the Anatolian side. The name is believed to be a combination of the words bey and ''kos'', which means "village" in Farsi.
