Israna is a village panchayat and tehsil in Panipat district in Haryana, India. It lies in the panipat Division. It is located towards south from district headquarters Panipat and from state capital Chandigarh towards north. Panipat District
Panipat district () is one of the 22 districts of Haryana in north India. The historical town of Panipat is the administrative headquarters of the district. The district occupies an area of , making it the nineteenth largest in the state with Gurugram and Panchkula following it. History The first record of the district is found in Ain-i-Akbari. It was part of Subah Delhi. When the British took over the area in 1803, it was a part of Delhi territory. In 1819 reorganisation, Panipat, Karnal and Sonipat areas formed part of Panipat district. In 1851 Panipat district was divided into Panipat and Karnal tahsils with headquarters at Panipat and Gharaunda respectively. Three years later, headquarters of the district were shifted to Karnal. ''Panipat'' is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language epic war drama film directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar. Devī (; Sanskrit: देवी) is the Sanskrit word for 'goddess'; the masculine form is ''deva''. Ahmad Shah Abdali
Ahmad Shāh Durrānī ( ps, احمد شاه دراني; prs, احمد شاه درانی), also known as Ahmad Shāh Abdālī (), was the founder of the Durrani Empire and is regarded as the founder of the modern Afghanistan. In July 1747, Ahmad Shah was appointed as King of the Afghans by a ''loya jirga'' in Kandahar, where he set up his capital. Sadashivrao Bhau
Sadashivrao Bhau Peshwa (3 August 1730 – 14 January 1761) was son of Chimaji Appa (younger brother of Bajirao I) and Rakhmabai (Pethe family) and the nephew of Baji Rao I. He was a finance minister during the reign of Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Rajaram II. He led the Maratha army at the Third Battle of Panipat.
