The Israel–Hamas war protest vote movements are protest vote movements targeting the 2024 United States Democratic Party presidential primaries to protest US president Joe Biden's policy towards the Israel–Hamas war as part of larger Israel–Hamas war protests in the United States. After a notable "uncommitted" vote in the US state of Michigan, activists sought to replicate the protest in other US states. The movement is primarily led by a vocal minority of Muslim Americans, Arab Americans, and progressives. While some activists under Abandon Biden argue against supporting Biden entirely during the 2024 general presidential election, others in uncommitted movements have argued for using uncommitted votes during the presidential primary to push for pro-Palestinian action before the presidential election. A protest vote (also called a blank, null, spoiled, or "none of the above" vote) is a vote cast in an election to demonstrate dissatisfaction with the choice of candidates or the current political system. Protest voting takes a variety of forms and reflects numerous voter motivations, including political alienation. Where voting is compulsory, casting a blank vote is available for those who do not wish to choose a candidate, or to protest. Unlike abstention elsewhere, blank votes are counted. Along with abstention, or not voting, protest voting is a sign of unhappiness with available options. If protest vote takes the form of a blank vote, it may or may not be tallied into final results. The Democratic Majority for Israel (DMFI) is a centrist or left-leaning American advocacy group that supports pro-Israel policies among the United States Democratic Party's political leaders. DMFI was founded in January 2019 in reaction to polling that showed that Democrats and younger voters were less supportive of Israel than previous generations. Its president and CEO is Democratic pollster Mark Mellman, who was one of its founders, along with other Democratic Party strategists, including now-Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm and former White House Communications Director Ann Lewis. 2024 Pennsylvania Democratic Presidential Primary
The 2024 Pennsylvania Democratic presidential primary will take place on April 23, 2024, as part of the Democratic Party primaries for the 2024 presidential election. 173 delegates to the Democratic National Convention will be allocated to presidential candidates. Incumbent President Joe Biden is running for re-election. Dean Phillips, who suspended his primary campaign on March 6, 2024, is the only other candidate on the ballot.
