Israel Laryea is a Ghanaian broadcast journalist, news editor and anchor and programme host with Multimedia Group Ltd (JoyNews Television). Personal life Israel is married to Louisa and they have three (3) children. Education Israel attended Osu Presbyterian Preparatory School (OPPS) in Osu. He then had his GCE 'O' Level certificate from Okuapeman School before undertaking the sixth form at Accra Academy. He later attended the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), where he attained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Career Israel begun working in the broadcasting space with TV3 in 1999. After working with TV3 for sometime, he moved on to Multimedia Group Limited working with the late Komla Dumor. Okuapeman School
Okuapeman School is a coeducational first-cycle institution in Akropong in the Eastern Region of Ghana. History The school was established in 1957 by barrister Charles Opoku Acheampong, who had been a pupil in the chambers of Edward Akufo-Addo. Due to establishment in a traditional and royal area, Past Students earn the name Adehye. The school was started by Barrister Opoku Acheampong and was later handled to the government of Ghana after his demise. The school runs both day and boarding system with majority of the students in the boarding house. There are 8 houses in all with 4 for the ladies and 4 for the gentlemen. They are namely Opoku Acheampong House - Blue, Akuffo House - Green, Kwadade House - Yellow and Addo Dankwa House- Red. The schools colors are brown and white with Brown signifying mother earth and nature and white depicting purity. Convention People's Party
The Convention People's Party (CPP) is a Socialism, socialist political party in Ghana based on the ideas of the first President of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah. The CPP was formed in June 1949 after Nkrumah broke away from the United Gold Coast Convention (UGCC). Nkrumah was the then appointed Secretaty General of the UGCC when he was arrested by the leader of the UGCC and imprisoned for an alleged thought, plans and power against Kwame Nkrumah's leadership. Kwame Nkrumah then formed the Convention People's Party with support of some UGCC members and had a purpose for self governance. Upon Kwame Nkrumah's leadership with the CPP, he orgranized a non violent protest and strike for support of the purpose for self-governance which took him to imprisonment for a second time, but he was released after winning a massive vote by the CPP following the colonies election general election whilst he was in prison.
