Arata Isozaki
Arata Isozaki (磯崎 新, ''Isozaki Arata''; born 23 July 1931) is a Japanese architect, urban designer, and theorist from Ōita. He was awarded the RIBA Gold Medal in 1986 and the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2019. Biography Isozaki was born in Oita on the island of Kyushu and grew up in the era of postwar Japan. Isozaki completed his schooling at the Oita Prefecture Oita Uenogaoka High School (erstwhile Oita Junior High School). In 1954, he graduated from the University of Tokyo where he majored in Architecture and Engineering. This was followed by a doctoral program in architecture from the same university. Isozaki also worked under Kenzo Tange before establishing his own firm in 1963. Isozaki's early projects were influenced by European experiences with a style mixed between "New Brutalism" and "Metabolist Architecture" (Oita Medical Hall, 1959–1960), according to Reyner Banham. Hiromi Isozaki (athlete)
Hiromi "Kumi" Isozaki ( ja, 磯崎 公美; born 20 March 1965) is a Japanese former track and field athlete who competed in sprinting events from 100 metres to 400 metres. She won four gold medals at the 1982 Asian Games, which she set three games records. She later won 400 m bronze at the 1986 Asian Games and a 200 metres bronze at the 1987 Asian Athletics Championships. She was also a three-time silver medallist in the 4×400 metres relay at continental level. She was a ten-time winner at the Japan Championships in Athletics, seven of those coming in the 200 m. She was a Japanese record holder in the 200 m and 400 m with her bests of 24.00 seconds and 53.73 seconds, titles she held for nearly ten years. She was also a former Asian record holder in the 4×100 metres relay and 4×200 metres relay with the Japanese national team. is a passenger railway station on the Minato Line in the city of Hitachinaka, Ibaraki, Japan, operated by the third-sector railway operator Hitachinaka Seaside Railway. Isozaki Atea
The Isozaki Atea ( eu, Isozaki Gate) twin towers in Bilbao, Spain are the tallest residential buildings in the city and the Basque Country (autonomous community), Basque Country, designed by Japanese architect Arata Isozaki. The towers are tall and have 23 Storey, floors. The first two floors are used for mixed-commercial purposes, and the remaining floors are residential. The towers are part of a five-building complex. The other three buildings' heights range between six and eight floors. "Atea" means "gate" in Basque language, Basque; the complex is intended as the entrance to the ''Ensanche'' of the city from the other side of the Nervión river as a footway directly connects the staircase between the two towers to the Zubizuri footbridge. Naomi Isozaki (礒崎 直美, ''Isozaki Naomi'') is a Japanese Paralympic archer. Hiromi Ikeda
(former name; Hiromi Isozaki, 磯﨑 浩美) is a former Japanese football player. She played for the Japan national team. Club career Ikeda was born in Honjo on December 22, 1975. She joined Tasaki Perule FC in 1995. She was selected for the Best Young Player award in 1995. She was also selected as one of the Best Eleven for 10 years in a row (1999-2008). However, the club was disbanded in 2008 due to financial strain. She retired at the end of the 2008 season. She played 236 matches in the L.League. National team career On June 8, 1997, Ikeda debuted for the Japan national team against China. She was a member of the national team for the 1999, 2003, 2007 World Cups; as well as at the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics.
