''Cause for Conflict'' is the seventh studio album by German thrash metal band Kreator released on 1 August, 1995. The record continued the experimentation with industrial music that they started on previous album, '' Renewal'', but brought back more of their thrash metal sound. This was also the only Kreator album to feature Joe Cangelosi as the replacement of original drummer Jürgen "Ventor" Reil, who would return to the band in 1996, as well as the first to feature bassist Christian Giesler and the last to feature guitarist Frank "Blackfire" Gosdzik. Release In March 2018, German heavy metal record label Noise released a remastered edition of the album and made it available on CD and vinyl and as digital download. The release contains three bonus tracks and liner notes. Their current lineup consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Miland "Mille" Petrozza, drummer Jürgen "Ventor" Reil, lead guitarist Sami Yli-Sirniö, and bassist Frédéric Leclercq. The band's lineup has changed multiple times over its -year career, most noticeably with their bassists and lead guitarists. Petrozza and Reil are the only two original members left in Kreator, although the latter took a break from the band from 1994 to 1996. Yli-Sirniö has been the lead guitarist of Kreator since 2001, while Leclercq joined in 2019 as the replacement of Christian "Speesy" Giesler, who had been a member of the band since 1994. Renewal (album)
''Renewal'' is the sixth album by German thrash metal band Kreator, released in 1992. It's their first "experimental" album, as in this release Kreator incorporated industrial music influences in their songwriting, as well as featuring a groove metal sound. It is also the last album to feature original bassist Rob Fioretti. The song "Karmic Wheel" contains audio samples from the suicide of R. Budd Dwyer. A music video was made for the title track. Malcolm Dome
Malcolm Dome (1955 – 29 October 2021) was an English music journalist. He wrote about rock and heavy metal from 1979. In addition to writing books, he was a journalist for ''Record Mirror'', ''Kerrang!'', ''Metal Hammer'' and ''Classic Rock'' among others. Dome co-founded the UK's first rock radio station, TotalRock, along with ''Friday Rock Show'' DJ Tommy Vance and producer Tony Wilson. After 17 years with the station, Dome left in March 2014 to join Team Rock full-time. Dome is credited with the term "thrash metal". It was first referred to by the music press in ''Kerrang!'' by Dome while making a reference to the Anthrax song "Metal Thrashing Mad" in issue number 62, page 8, published on 23 February 1984. Raw Power is an Italian hardcore punk band from Reggio Emilia, formed in 1981 and still active. History Raw Power was formed in 1981 in Poviglio, in the Italian province of Reggio Emilia, by brothers Mauro (vocals) and Giuseppe Codeluppi (guitar). Through the years the band has lived through several line-up changes and the two brothers were the only stable members until Giuseppe's death in 2002. The band's name came from The Stooges, The Stooges’s Raw Power, third album. Previously, the Codeluppi brothers had played in another band called Off Limits. In the field of recorded music, a hidden track (sometimes called a ghost track, secret track or unlisted track) is a song or a piece of audio that has been placed on a CD, audio cassette, LP record, or other recorded medium, in such a way as to avoid detection by the casual listener. Mille Petrozza
Miland "Mille" Petrozza (born 18 December 1967) is a German guitarist and singer of Italian descent. He is best known for being the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of thrash metal band Kreator, which he started playing in as Tyrant in 1982 and renamed into Tormentor in 1984. He is also the principal songwriter of the band and the only member to appear on every Kreator album. Petrozza also shared lead vocals in union with Tomas Lindberg for the track "Dirty Coloured Knife" on the self-titled 2002 album from Israeli metal act Nail Within. In 1994, he played guitar in the metal all-star band Voodoocult, amongst such artists as Dave Lombardo of Slayer and Chuck Schuldiner of Death (metal band), Death. Compact Disc Digital Audio (CDDA or CD-DA), also known as Digital Audio Compact Disc or simply as Audio CD, is the standard format for audio compact discs. Christian Giesler
Christian "Speesy" Giesler (born 4 July 1970) is a German musician. He is best known for being the former bassist of Kreator, where he was a member of the band from 1994 to 2019. He appeared on eight studio albums with Kreator, from ''Cause for Conflict'' (1995) to ''Gods of Violence'' (2017), and at the time of his departure, he was their all-time longest-serving bassist, surpassing Rob Fioretti, who was part of the band for 10 years. Unlike Fioretti and his replacement Frédéric Leclercq, who have both played with a pick, Giesler was a fingerstyle bassist for live shows, though he used a pick on their recordings. He originally used a Jackson Randy Rhoads custom bass guitar, and was later endorsed by Mensinger with his own signature model.
