Isoko Region
Isoko is a region of Delta State and Bayelsa state in southern Nigeria and is inhabited by an ethnic group of the same name, the Isoko people. Okpe Isoko
Okpe is a kingdom in Delta State, Nigeria. Today, it is also the name of a local government area. It is one of the many kingdoms that make up Urhobo tribe. Its capital is Orerokpe. The kingdom plays host to the Osubi Airport (also known as Warri Airstrip), which is actually located at Osubi and the Delta State Trade Fair Complex. The Orodje celebrated ten years on ancestral throne. Geoffrey Arich is the king of Okpe Kingdom, Kenyan Branch. The kingship is usually rotated between the four ruling houses. Ofagbe
Ofagbe ("Ofa kugbe") is a town about southeast of Ozoro, the headquarters of the Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria. Legend has it that the town was established by three families who migrated from various points in the then Benin Kingdom to settle and call the town "home." Iyede-Ame
Iyede-Ame, ("watery Iyede") derived its name from Iyede, an upland town in Isoko South Local Government Area in Delta State, Nigeria. Oral legend has it that the first inhabitants of Iyede-Ame migrated from Iyede mentioned above. A riverine community situated in Ndokwa East Local Government Area is one of the Isoko speaking towns found in the Old Aboh political division. The town Iyede-Ame is bordered by Onogboko, Igeh, Ivrogbo, Akara-etiti, Utue and LagosIyede-Ame, an adjunct community. The town has two major quarters, Ushie and Ogbodogbo with several other adjoining communes. The highest leadership authority in the town is the president who chairs the National Working Committee (NWC) that oversees the general development of the town. Igbuku
Igbuku is a community in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria. It is located on the shores of the River Ase. Igbuku shares a common boundary with Ofagbe, Ovrode, Ibrede, Aboh, and Ashaka. The town is made up of descendants from Ndokwa speaking founders and have over time intertwined in intermarriages with Isoko neighbours, that almost everyone from the town can trace to a mixed ancestry. Most early founders were from Ellu, Ovrode, and Aradhe hence most people trace their ancestry to Ellu, Ovrode, and Aradhe. There are also migrants from Ellu, Ofagbe, Ibrede, and Aradhe. Ndokwa and Isoko languages are the main means of communication.
