Ismail Tara
Ismail Tara ( ur, اسماعیل تارا; 16 November 1949 – 24 November 2022) was a Pakistani actor and comedian. He worked in stage plays, television and Lollywood films. He was a five time Nigar Awards winner for the best comedian in Haathi Mere Saathi (1993), ''Aakhri Mujra'' (1994), ''Munda Bigra Jaye'' (1995), ''Chief Sahib'' (1996) and ''Deewarein'' (1998). He was well known for his best work in Fifty Fifty, which aired on PTV in the 1980s. Career Ismail Tara worked in the film and television industry from 1964 until his death, as well as in stage plays and TV dramas. He ended up writing some scripts of the popular TV show Fifty Fifty along with fellow TV comedian Majid Jehangir, when the original scriptwriter Anwar Maqsood had a fall-out with the show's cast in 1981. The 1st Indus Drama Awards ceremony, presented by Indus TV Network, sponsored by Dulux, took place on 23 September 2005, at PAF Museum, Karachi. The ceremony was recorded, and was scheduled to be televised in Pakistan and UAE on October 1, 2005, by Indus TV. It was produced by chairman Ghazanfar Ali. The awards were hosted by actor Shahood Alvi and co-hosted by Sehar Imran.
