Ismail Ertug
Ismail Ertug (Turkish: İsmail Ertuğ; born 5 December 1975) is a German politician and Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from Germany. He is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany, part of the Party of European Socialists. Early life and career Of ethnic Turkish origin, Ertug was born in Amberg, in 1975, three years after his parents immigrated from Seferihisar (in Izmir, Turkey) to Germany. After finishing his apprenticeship as industrial management assistant, he worked as a customer consultant for enterprises at the German general health insurance (AOK) where he studied business management. Following his studies, he worked as coordinator and social insurance expert in the marketing department of the AOK Bavaria. A Member of the European Parliament (MEP) is a person who has been elected to serve as a popular representative in the European Parliament. The Upper Palatinate (german: Oberpfalz, , ) is one of the seven administrative districts of Bavaria, Germany, and is located in the east of Bavaria. Karima Delli
Karima Delli (born 4 March 1979 in Roubaix, Nord) is a French politician and Member of the European Parliament elected in the 2009 European election, 2014 European elections and in the 2019 European elections for the Île-de-France constituency. Early life and career Born to Algerian parents, she grew up in poor conditions in Tourcoing as the ninth child in the family of 13. David Maria Sassoli (; 30 May 1956 – 11 January 2022) was an Italian politician and journalist who served as the president of the European Parliament from 3 July 2019 until his death on 11 January 2022. Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning network, founded in Canada in 1971 by Irving Stowe and Dorothy Stowe, immigrant environmental activists from the United States. The ACP–EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly was created to bring together the elected representatives of the European Union (the Members of the European Parliament) and the elected representatives of the African, Caribbean and Pacific states ("ACP countries") that have signed the Cotonou Agreement. The European Parliament (EP) is one of the legislative bodies of the European Union and one of its seven institutions. Together with the Council of the European Union (known as the Council and informally as the Council of Ministers), it adopts European legislation, following a proposal by the European Commission. The Parliament is composed of 705 members (MEPs). It represents the second-largest democratic electorate in the world (after the Parliament of India), with an electorate of 375 million eligible voters in 2009. The Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI) is a committee of the European Parliament. It has 81 full members and is currently chaired by Pascal Canfin. Evolution During the 1990s its relatively low importance led to its being referred to unfavourably by MEPs as the "Cinderella committee". However, since then the committee's powers have increased.
