Island Trees Union Free School District is a school district in central Nassau County on Long Island, approximately 31 miles east of New York City. The district includes parts of the following hamlets; Levittown, Bethpage, Plainedge, and Seaford. The Island Trees School District gained notoriety in the United States Supreme Court case ''Island Trees School District v. Pico'' regarding censorship of books in school libraries. ''Making the Band'' is an ABC/MTV reality television series that exists in separate iterations, each focusing on a specific music act. It spawned musical acts O-Town, Da Band, Danity Kane, Day26, and Donnie Klang. Donald Joseph Klang (born January 23, 1985) is an American singer. He won ''Making the Band 4'' and was awarded his own solo contract by Diddy. He released his debut album, '' Just a Rolling Stone'', in late 2008. Life and career Klang was born in Brooklyn, New York. Kevin Patrick Covais (; born May 30, 1989) is an American actor, singer and songwriter. He was a finalist on the fifth season of ''American Idol''. Island Trees High School is a coeducational public high school serving students in ninth grade through twelfth grade, in Levittown, New York, United States, 31.0 miles east of Manhattan. It is a part of the Island Trees Union Free School District. The school offers various clubs, electives, and AP courses. Island Trees High School serves portions of Levittown, Bethpage and Seaford.
