Islam Murtazaev
Islam Murtazaev (Russian: Ислам Муртазаев; born April 13, 1991) is a Russian kickboxer and mixed martial artist. As of March 2023, he is ranked as the fourth best middleweight in the world by Beyond Kick. Biography and career Early career Murtazaev grew up in Dagestan where he trained in wrestling before transitioning to Muay Thai at the age of 10. He competed as an amateur until 2016 when he quit his job as an oil and gas extraction engineer and moved to Thailand. On November 18, 2017, Murtazaev took part in the EM Legend -75 kg World Tournament finals. In the semi-finals he defeated Jordan Tai by decision to reach the final. He faced Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong, after 3 rounds the judges declared the fight a draw, an extra round was fought which Murtazaev won to capture the title. King of Kings, or KOK, is a European kickboxing promotion founded in 2009. The company has its headquarters in Vilnius, Lithuania. History The promotion held its first event in Lithuania in 2009. The promotion has since held over 100 events in multiple countries including in Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Estonia, Russia, Germany and Cyprus. The promotion held its first event in Estonia in 2015. First event in Finland was held in 2019. In the past King of Kings also co-promoted events with K-1. Events in Moldova were promoted with FEA. Sergey Ponomarev (born July 27, 1995) is a Russian kickboxer. He is ranked as the second best middleweight in the world by Combat Press as of September 2022, and fifth best by Beyond Kick as of October 2022. Professional career Ponomarev faced Robert Oganesyan at the February 22, 2019, Tatneft Cup event. He won the fight by decision. Constantin Rusu (born May 17, 1994) is a Moldovan kickboxer, currently competing in the lightweight division of ONE Championship. He is the former KOK and FEA welterweight champion. Liam Nolan is a British Muay Thai fighter who competes for the ONE Championship organization. He is the reigning WBC Muay Thai World Middleweight Champion. Sinsamut Klinmee ( th, สินสมุทร กลิ่นมี; born October 30, 1995) is a Thai Muay Thai fighter and Bare knuckle boxer who competes in the lightweight division of ONE Championship. Nicolaas Hubertus Holzken (born December 16, 1983) is a Dutch super middleweight kickboxer and professional boxer currently signed to ONE Championship, where he competes in the Lightweight division.
