Islam Aslanov
Islam Aslanov is an Uzbekistani Paralympic swimmer. He won the bronze medal in the men's 100 metre butterfly S13 event at the 2020 Summer Paralympics held in Tokyo, Japan. Career In 2018, Aslanov won three gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal at the Asian Para Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Aslanov won the bronze medal in the men's 4 × 100 metre medley relay at the 2014 Asian Games held in Incheon, South Korea. He also competed in two individual events: the men's 50 metre butterfly and men's 100 metre butterfly events. In the men's 4 × 100 metre freestyle relay he finished in 5th place in the final. Para Swimming
Para swimming is an adaptation of the sport of swimming for athletes with disabilities. Para swimmers compete at the Summer Paralympic Games and at other sports competitions throughout the world. The sport is governed by the International Paralympic Committee. Both men and women compete in para swimming, racing against competitors of their own gender. Swimming has been a part of the Paralympic program since the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, Italy. Rules Rules for the sport are adapted from those set forth by the International Swimming Federation (FINA). Swimmers compete individually in backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, freestyle, individual medley, and as teams in relay races. The 2018 Asian Para Games ( id, Pesta Olahraga Difabel Asia 2018, ''Asian Para Games 2018''), officially known as the 3rd Asian Para Games and also known as Indonesia 2018, was a pan-Asian multi-sport event that held from 6 to 13 October 2018 in Indonesia's capital city of Jakarta. The event paralleled the 2018 Asian Games and was held for Asian athletes with disability. It was the first time Indonesia hosted the games. Events were held in the host city Jakarta and in Bogor Regency of West Java province. The opening ceremony was held at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, while the closing ceremony was held at Gelora Bung Karno Madya Stadium next door.
