Isla Mujeres National Airport
Isla Mujeres National Airport ( es, Aeropuerto Nacional de Isla Mujeres) is an airport located on the Isla Mujeres in the Isla Mujeres Municipality in the State of Quintana Roo, Mexico. The airport is primarily used for general aviation, and occasionally by the Mexican Armed Forces. No commercial service is currently offered from the airport, although there is a small terminal and control tower, which is currently abandoned and has been vandalized. The nearest airport with commercial service is Cancún International Airport, located on the mainland. Isla Mujeres (, Spanish language, Spanish for "Women Island" (formally “Isla de Mujeres”) is an island where the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea meet, about off the Yucatán Peninsula coast in the State of Quintana Roo, Mexico. It is approximately long and wide. To the east is the Caribbean Sea with a strong Ocean surface wave, surf and rock (geology), rocky coast, and to the west the skyline of Cancún can be seen across the waters. Isla Mujeres (, Spanish for ''Island of the Women'') is one of the eleven municipalities of the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, on the Yucatán Peninsula. Cancún International Airport
Cancun International Airport ( es, Aeropuerto Internacional de Cancún) is located in Cancún, Quintana Roo, on the Caribbean coast of Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula. It is Latin America's third and Mexico's second busiest airport, after Mexico City International Airport. In 2021, Cancún airport handled 22,318,467 passengers, an 82.1% increase compared to 2020.
