Isidre Bonsoms I Sicart
Isidre Bonsoms i Sicart (1849 – 14 November 1922) was a Catalan bibliophile and cervantist. He was born in Barcelona. In 1910 he donated to the Biblioteca de Catalunya an important collection of historical-political leaflets regarding events of the history of Catalonia from the 16th to the 19th centuries, most of them printed in Catalonia. It contains relations of events, legal dispositions, public announcements, edicts, flying sheets and satirical posters. He had also gathered a large number of legal proceedings and decisions, political speeches, sermons preached regarding diverse events, printed matter of local interest, novels and other brief treatises of different topics. It includes relations, notices and news gazettes, too. In 1914 Bonsoms communicated to the Biblioteca de Catalunya his plan of donating the Cervantine Collection of 3,367 volumes by, or relating to, Miguel de Cervantes. Isidre Molas
Isidre Molas i Batllori (born 12 October 1940, in Barcelona) is a Catalan politician and historian, who has served as the fifth President of the Socialists' Party of Catalonia since 19 July 2008. He has been a Senator from Barcelona since 5 April 2000. Early years Molas was born in Barcelona in 1940. His father was a musician, Isidre Molas i Font, and he is the brother of the historian and writer, Joaquim Molas i Batllori. In 1963, Molas graduated in law in the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He was an active member of the ''Front Obrer de Catalunya'' (Workers' Front of Catalonia) and joined the left-wing anti-Franco movement '' Frente de Liberación Popular'' (Popular Liberation Front). Isidre Nonell i Monturiol (; es, Isidro Nonell y Monturiol; 30 November 1872 – 21 February 1911) was a Spanish artist known for his expressive portrayal of socially marginalized individuals in late 19th-century Barcelona. Life Isidre Nonell was born in 1872 in Barcelona. His parents, Isidre Nonell i Torras de Arenys de Mar and Àngela Monturiol i Francàs of Barcelona, owned a small but prosperous factory which made soup noodles. Together with his childhood friend, Joaquim Mir, with whom he attended the same school in the neighborhood of Sant Pere in the old part of town in Barcelona, he developed artistic ambitions at an early age. His early teachers included Josep Mirabent, Gabriel Martínez Altés and Lluís Graner. From 1893 to 1895 he studied at the Escola de Belles Arts de Barcelona (Fine Arts School of Barcelona).
