Ish Polvorosa
Esmilzo Joner "Ish" Polvorosa (born March 22, 1997) is a Filipino volleyball player who plays for the Philippine national team. Personal life Polvorosa was born and raised in Imus, Cavite. He graduated as second honorable mention at Anabu II Elementary School and studied middle school at Unida Christian Colleges. He took up AB European Studies at Ateneo de Manila University where he played in the Ateneo Blue Eagles volleyball team. He joined the Cignal HD Spikers in 2017. In 2018, he was elected as SK Chairman for Barangay Anabu 2-B in Imus, Cavite. Polvorosa is also a member of the LGBTQ community. Imus, Cavite
Imus, officially the City of Imus ( fil, Lungsod ng Imus), is a 3rd class component city and ''de jure'' capital of the province of Cavite, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 496,794 people. It is the ''de jure'' capital of the province of Cavite, located south of Metro Manila, when President Ferdinand Marcos decreed the transfer of the seat of the provincial government from Trece Martires on June 11, 1977. However, most offices of the provincial government are still located in Trece Martires. Imus was officially converted into a city following a referendum on June 30, 2012. UAAP Season 77 Volleyball Tournaments
The UAAP Season 77 seniors' division volleyball tournament started on November 22, 2014 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Metro Manila. Opening-day games were the women's teams of UE vs UST at 2 PM and Ateneo vs NU at 4 PM. The tournament main venue was the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan City while selected games will be played at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City, and the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay. The UAAP Season 77 high school volleyball tournament started on July 26, 2014. The tournament venue was the Adamson University Gym in San Marcelino St., Ermita, Manila. The number of participating schools in the boys' and girls' tournaments both increased to seven. Far Eastern University fielded boys' and girls' volleyball teams this season. 2019 Spikers' Turf Open Conference
The 2019 Spikers’ Turf Open Conference was the fourteenth conference of the Spikers' Turf. The tournament began on August 20, 2019 with a total of 24 teams. San Beda replaced PNP, which was forced to withdraw from the competition after failing to secure permission from their superior officers. A total of four pools with six squads each pool that will compete in a single-round robin elimination round. The 2018 Spikers’ Turf Open Conference is the revival conference of the Spikers' Turf. After the 2016 season of the Spikers' Turf, its affiliate league, the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), assumed the tournaments of the Spikers' Turf under its men's division until the collegiate conference of year 2018. 2018 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference
The 2018 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference was the fourth conference of the Premier Volleyball League (31st conference of the former Shakey's V-League). Conference will start on April 27, 2018 with a Grand Fans Day at the Trinoma Activity Center, Quezon City, 9 days before its opening ceremonies and games on May 6, 2018 at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan City, Philippines. PLDT returns as PayMaya after two years of absence in the league and newcomer teams, Tacloban Fighting Warays and Petro Gazz Angels are expected to join the league. The Spikers’ Turf Collegiate Conference was the 2nd conference of the Spikers' Turf men's volleyball which started on July 13, 2015 and ended on September 27, 2015 at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan. There were twelve (12) competing teams in this conference.
