Iseo, Lombardy
Iseo (Brescian: ) is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy, Italy, on the south shore of Lake Iseo. It is bounded by the communes of Provaglio d'Iseo, Sulzano, Polaveno and Paratico. It has the first monument ever built of Giuseppe Garibaldi, erected in 1883. Main sights * Oldofredi Castle, built between the end of the 11th century and the beginning of the 12th century, on the site of the ''Torrazzo'', a rock at the edge of the city. It is one of the best preserved fortified complexes of early medieval military history. This fortress has square corner towers, screened by quadrangular crossbars on an inclined base. It was named after the Ghibelline Oldofredi family from Iseo. The large tower of the southern wing is the eldest part. It has a square base of 10 metres, a height of 12 metres. Lake Iseo
Lake Iseo or Iseo lake ( ; it, Lago d'Iseo ; lmo, Lach d'Izé, label=Eastern Lombard), also known as Sebino (; la, Sebinus), is the fourth largest lake in Lombardy, Italy, fed by the Oglio River. It is in the north of the country in the Val Camonica area, near the cities of Brescia and Bergamo. The lake is almost equally divided between the provinces of Bergamo and Brescia. Northern Italy is known for its heavily industrialised towns and in between there are several natural lakes. Lake Iseo retains its natural environment, with its lush green mountains surrounding the crystal clear lake. There are several medieval towns around the lake, the largest being Iseo and Sarnico. A notable tourism sector has emerged. A road has been carved into the side of the mountains that circumnavigates the entire lake. Iseo-myeon, Cheongdo
Iseo-myeon is a ''myeon'', or township, in western Cheongdo County, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea. It borders Daegu on the north. It is connected to both Daegu and central Cheongdo by Local Highway 30, which crosses under the Paljoryeong pass as it descends from Daegu to its terminus in Gangnam-myeon. Iseo-myeon is composed of 17 ''ri''. The region has a long history of human habitation, and may have been the site of the Samhan era polity of Bukgobuguk.
