Adrian G Iselin
Adrian Georg Iselin (January 17, 1818 – March 28, 1905) was a New York financier who invested in and developed real estate, railroads, and mining operations. For many years during his early business career he was engaged in importing with his brother, William Iselin, being one of the most successful merchants of New York in the middle of the century. After retiring from the importing trade, he established the banking house of Adrian Iselin & Co. He is considered the founder of the Iselin family in the United States. Early life Iselin was born in Scotland on January 17, 1818, while his parents were making a tour of the British Isles. He was fifth of eleven children born to Isaac Iselin (1783–1841), who was born in Basel, Switzerland and emigrated to the United States in 1801, and Aimee Jeanne ( née Roulet) Iselin (1792–1873), a Swiss-French daughter of John Roulet. Iselin Michelsen (born 15 September 1990), also known as "Paradise"-Iselin, is a Norwegian glamour model and singer. She was a contestant of the Norwegian version of the ''Paradise Hotel'' reality show. Iselin Nybø (born 14 May 1981) is a Norwegian politician for the Liberal Party, who served as the Minister of Trade and Industry from 2020 to 2021.; She also served as Minister of Higher Education from 2018 to 2020. She was elected to the Parliament of Norway from Rogaland in 2013, where she served as the first deputy chair of the Standing Committee on Education, Research, and Church Affairs. Iselin Alme (born 10 July 1957) is a Norwegian singer and stage actress. Alme was born in Oslo, but moved to Stavanger at an early age. She performed in variety shows before getting the role as Maria in West Side Story at ''Det Norske Teatret'' in 1982. Since then, she has acted in several roles, both in musicals and in plays. Among the productions she has taken part in are ''Godspell'', ''A Chorus Line'', '' Cats'' and '' Oklahoma'', as well as Ionesco's '' La Leçon'' at ''Riksteatret''. Charles Oliver Iselin (June 8, 1854 – January 1, 1932) was an American banker and yachtsman who was captain of racing yachts that won the America's Cup three times. Early life Iselin was the son of Adrian Georg Iselin and Eleanora O Donnell Iselin. John Jay Iselin (December 8, 1933 – May 6, 2008) was a magazine and television journalist, editor, and publisher. He served as president of WNET, president of the Cooper Union, and president of the Marconi Foundation at Columbia University.
