Isaach Isaachsen
Isaach Isaachsen (25 May 1774 – 15 August 1828) was a Norwegian politician. He was born in 1774 as the son of wealthy businessman Daniel Isaachsen and his first wife Christiane Hedvig Christensen. He married a Hedevig Elisabeth Hansen. He was the brother of Peder and Daniel Otto Isaachsen. His son Daniel became a jurist. Through him, Isaach Isaachsen was the grandfather of painter Olaf Isaachsen. Daniel Otto Christian Isaachsen (22 August 1806 – 9 December 1891) was a Norwegian businessperson and politician. He was born in 1806 as the son of wealthy businessman Daniel Isaachsen and his second wife Hanne Susanne Nideros. He married a Laura Pedersen. He was the half-brother of Peder and Isaach Isaachsen. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament in 1839, representing the constituency of Christianssand. He worked as a businessman and consul Consul (abbrev. Olaf Isaachsen
Olaf Wilhelm Isaachsen (May 16, 1835 – September 22, 1893) was a Norwegian landscape and genre painter. Biography He was born in Mandal in Vest-Agder county Norway. Isaachsen belonged to a branch of an affluent and educated merchant family from Kjos in Kristiansand. He was the son of jurist Daniel Peter Christian Isaachsen, grandson of politician Isaach Isaachsen and great-grandson of Daniel Isaachsen (1744-1813), a Norwegian shipbuilder . He was the uncle of physicist Daniel Isaachsen, scientist Haakon Isaachsen (1867–1936), painter Herman Willoch and naval officer Odd Isaachsen Willoch. He attended Nissens Latin School in Christiania (now Oslo). Storting
The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. A member of Stortinget is known in Norwegian as a ''stortingsrepresentant'', literally "Storting representative". The assembly is led by a president and, since 2009, five vice presidents: the presidium. The members are allocated to twelve standing committees as well as four procedural committees. Vest-Agder
Vest-Agder (; "West Agder") was one of 18 counties (''fylker'') in Norway up until 1 January 2020, when it was merged with Aust-Agder to form Agder county. In 2016, there were 182,701 inhabitants, around 3.5% of the total population of Norway. Its area was about . The county administration was located in its largest city, Kristiansand. Vest-Agder was a major source of timber for Dutch and later English shipping from the 16th century onwards.
