Isaac Rochell
Isaac Christopher Rochell (born April 22, 1995) is an American football defensive end for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Notre Dame, and was drafted in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Chargers. Rochell also played with the Indianapolis Colts in 2021 and the Cleveland Browns in 2022. College career A three-year starter at the University of Notre Dame, Rochell's performance was strong his junior year but faded near the end of his senior year. He recorded slightly fewer tackles but had a sack and ten quarterback hurries. Rochell was noted for his consistency and work ethic even when the Fighting Irish were not finding success on the field. Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. History Early formations, with six- and seven-man lines, used the end as a containment player, whose job was first to prevent an " end run" around his position, then secondarily to force plays inside. When most teams adopted a five-man line, two different styles of end play developed: "crashing" ends, who rushed into the backfield to disrupt plays, and "stand-up" or "waiting" ends, who played the more traditional containment style. 2017 NFL Draft
The 2017 NFL Draft was the 82nd annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible American football players. It was held in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art on April 27–29, returning to Philadelphia for the first time since 1961.
